Ok, I'm officially bored, and ticked that 90% of the topics on the front page of OT is Mavs, so I decided to start yet another "Official" topic. This one is pretty simple, if you have problems with your computer, me (and probably other computer-literate people) will help you with your problems to the best of my (our) ability.... Pretty sure this'll die, and I know this deserves to be in OT and not Computer/Gaming, as thats for games only, but whatever....

Thank you for making an intelligent topic --;;

Where can I go to get a spyware remover. I have adware, but it doesn't get rid of it all.

Anywhere I can get one for free?

Yeah, I downloaded that, and it only did a scan. I need something to get rid of them.

Spybot can get rid of them, you just have to know what to do after the scan =/

If this topic gets more active, I might pin it, just letting you know. Also, if you need anyone to help out, I'd like to think I'm pretty good with computers (Windows only http://forums.yugioh...tyle_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Kamikazi, if you've reformatted your computer twice and still have the same problem you probably need a new video card...

Elric, there are a lot of different computer errors o.o

Elric: Computer errors vary from OS to OS. If your OS is 98 1st edition or ME (Millenium Edition), please don't bother asking for help, as not even Microsoft support it, cause their too damn buggy for their own uses.

Kami: Could it be you have an outdated version of IE? The newer versions of Flash plugins usually require the newest versions of Internet Browser, so that could be a possibilty on what your problem is...

Atr:The spyware removers I use are Spy-bot, Adaware, and Spy Sweeper, just google for either one of those, and if you need help on using them, just IM me on MSN....

Eh, I've never touched a Mac in my life, as I'm more of a Windows guy, so it could possibly be cause you have a Mac, or some other reason....

Macs don't get viruses because no one uses them; who would write a virus that would affect like 5% of computer users lol...

It's possible it could be a Trojan of sorts, which don't let you delete the file without using a specific remover, which can be found at symantec.com. I've seen files like that, but they never affected the computers overall speed, but you might have something different...

Computer help for free yay! ok so when I try to use things like flash animations and such a error message comes up that says the Sercurity settings won't allow Acrive-X to work then I put the settings to allow everything and it won't work and I can't figure out why!

What kind of browser are you using? I get that occasionally, when some software open up AvantBrowser, despite the fact I have Firefox set as my default browser....
