Protip: I'm flat broke in spending money, ATM, love. Regardless, everyone of those games is pretty damned good. Halo is probably bottom of the list, and even that isn't a terrible game.

When you rinse the Microsoft semen out of your mouth and realize that the 360 is sucking your money with things like pictures,online play and pretty much anything else. That it has plumty hardware that sounds like a roaring walrus, it scratches your disks and breaks down randomly. Anything that gets attention on the system is either a grapeing shooter or a shooter with some kind of gay gameplay twist. Some day you'll realize that sales really don't mean plum and that the console war doesn't mean plum and when you do I'll actually take your posts seriously again.

my 360 has never broke or scratched my discs, true story.

I own two first person shooters for 360 (Halo 3 & Bioshock), two third person shooters (Gears 1&2). Followed by Forza 2 (racer), Oblivion (RPG), Mass Effect (RPG), Lego Batman, NBA Street Homecourt, Banjo Kazooie, Burnout: revenge, Guitar Hero 2,3 4 & rock Band

It only isn't if you're really, really, disgustingly Amercian.


Monotony is critiscism. I agree with it too. It's sad to see that at least 60% of the big titles on the 360 star space marines with ample excuse for a brain. Luckily the individual games still differ, but it's still rather sad.


In any case, this fanboyism of both sides is grapeing ridiculous. The PS3 has got a decent library of great exclusives by now(MGS4, Killzone 2, and Little Big Planet come to mind) and the only 360 title from the above list that arguably sucks is the Banjo game. Now GTFO and start playing your games.

Yeah, you're right. But I would like to see more game series have a finite life-span showcasing one complete story. Perhaps like Mass Effect.

I don't really care either way, I'm focusing on this game first before thinking about the future of the franchise.

I have a suspicion GOW3 may be one of the biggest games of this year purely down to the fact we haven't had a spectacular game of its genre this generation. It may not sell the most or get the highest scores, but i have a slight (and at the mo it's only a slight) thought that we'll definitely remember it into 2010. Unlike Gears 2 and GTA

that wouldn't be too difficult, if are memory spans don't last more than a year we're in trouble.

well when you figure 2010 will probably be Gears 3 and likely a new GTA of some sort, so people will likely have moved on that way.

And I still say this game isn't here until early 2010, since they'll make sure it's done and know it will sell regardless of when it comes out (God of War II came out in March and so did God of War 1).

Oh, and for the record I fully expect this to be the Killer app the PS3 needed about two years ago (much like how the Xbox 1 needed Halo 2 about a year before it came out), it's going to be very good.

It has been. Last place in North America consistently on a monthyl basis.

PS1: 100+ Million
PS2: 120+ Million (best-selling console of all time)
PS3: 21 Million as of Dec 31st 08.

to be fair Ghsot is correct, PS3 isn't selling what it should. Granted its beaten the 360 in japan and differing figures say both 360 and PS3 are winning europe. Ok maybe he shouldnt be using lifetime sales for a few reason,s the first is obvious second being The PS3 faces sterner competition than both its predecessors and its marketed differently (for the first time its the most powerful option)

2008 was a missed opportunity imo for the PS3, but tbh with God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and a selection of good PSN games like Fat princess 2009 does seem like a good year. Pus Blu-Ray is really starting to hit its stride.
