Basically, if you have more than 70 ledge grabs than you get a game loss.
You can check how many ledge grabs you do by the statistics at the "The WInner is ____" Screen.
This is to stop excessive planking.
SWF immediately dismissed this idea.
I personally like it.

Actually Joe, SWF is improving in SOME areas.

Like this. This should never be considered. If we have to use this, Brawl shouldn't even be played.

I know what Planking is, and currently there is nothing we can do to completely stop it unless we want to make Brawl unplayable.

Planking is a legal technique when you drop down from the ledge and immediatly regrab the ledge with a recovery to abuse the invincibility during a ledge grab and while on the ledge. MK players do it alot with shuttle loop...and it makes it almost impossible to approach. What they will do is get a stock off you. and run the the ledge and plank for 4 mins. And they win cause they are a stock ahead

Sounds liek a easy thing to counter if you can catch it early on.

Now lemme explain that, though I know itll only look good on paper.

Say your both equal in stock. Your opponent starts this planking ****, simply go to the other side and force to him come to you. I mean, if you know he's setting you up, dont let me.

I guess it is good to stop planking, but idk I guess I should go play a match(haven't in months) and see how many ledge grabs I do. I just wouldn't want to get screwed over , because I grabbed the ledge one too many times.

But, I doubt I even get close to 70, since that is really high.just haven't played in a long time, but I doubt it is that high otherwise it wouldn't have been chosen(I'd hope).

Lower it to 30-40.

70 is ridiculously high.

I don't think I've ever ledge grabbed 70 times in a match. Should really be around 40 like B l i t z said.

30-40 is way to small with some characters + the fact the number from the first game DOES carry over into the second makes this rule impossible to enforce.
