I'd like to go but the one guy going has a full car already, I'd go if someone near Groton could give me a ride lol. Also Howie do you know when the packs will be mass released there, like after the Sneak Preview?

I do roam, though like to leave the boards to you guys and just pay the bills...

As I ahve said from the start, nice not to have big brother watching and dictating..Nicer to have a community run the way the masses want. You guys do a great job!

FYI, I met with konami (just thought i'd share this with you all to stop speculation) at NY's Toy Fair and they said they have no intention of interupting Yugioh. They are going to keep the big tourneys, shonen type events (though may be called something difft) and local Organized play). This whole thing caught them off guard. While they were planning on not renewing UDE's contract at end of 2010, obviously the suddenness of recent events made everything go much quicker. So now they are pushing everything up. My 2c, short term growing pains, but longterm..without a doubt way better. Simple economics, cut out the middle man, upper deck, and they have much more money to play with for prizes, promotions, etc..

As for locals, our local tournaments have been the biggest they have ever been with almost 70 people last week alone in a casual and competitive tourney. Yes, we give a ton out in prizes, usually 110%, but it does show that Yugioh is alive and not going anywhere. Upper deck who?

Howie

P.S. Someone give the guy from Groton a ride smile.gif

Thanks for the information Howie. It helps a lot of us to know that the game is not going to die, as speculation suggests.

Good to hear about Konami. Though I've always envied the sound of those tournaments, let alone the size of that area.
