Check out this thread for more information. For a quick rundown:
  • SJC Anaheim confirmed April 25-26
  • SJC tournament set up is essentially back, albeit with the Cossy system
  • Prizes include brand new Top 16 SJC game mats, Nintendo DSi™ units with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Stardust Accelerator World Championship 2009, Wii™ units and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Wheelie Breakers, a 32 GB iPod Touch installed with Konami Mobile Games, a paid trip to the U.S. National Championships, and a complimentary subscription to SHONEN JUMP magazine for the Top 16.
  • Regional system is most likely set to return as well

Good news all around

Lol that's quite generous of Konami to do so. Wow even better than UDE. But yeah I'm interested to know what are the plans for Florida's SJC. I mean it was supposed to happen after all. Lol XD This will greatly boost player interest now. I wonder what is going to be said about the ranking system as well as the judge program. Hmmmmmm?

They need to reestablish the judge system fairly soon then. Should be interesting to have a central ruling system back up.

I'm pretty sure they are continuing Nationals, since it said they are also having a "Regional Qualifer" so Nationals should fall into those categories.

Well, originally, they were supposed to be the Dark Voltanis mats. Some were already produced. Maybe they'll stick to them.

So... You got aroused when The Great Achi spoke?

To be fair, I got really exited when I first read about this as well.

Nope. But SJC are better than Regionals though so this is just as good.

True, but when SJCs come back to NC, TN, OH, IN, and GA, I'm definately going.
Though regionals are easier, imo.
