Whereas WoW you create a character to do a specific job. Tanking, healing, Crowd Control, and so on. While it may take some skill to decide which skills you level and what perks you choose, thats about the final extent. After that you fill one role in a party. Maybe 2 roles with the double skill tree. But you still know exactly what you need to do.

Starcraft actually takes some skill to do.
True story.

FifteenStoryFall (11:20:58 PM): I tried to read the bible once when I was way younger
FifteenStoryFall (11:21:08 PM): I think I got through like fifty pages and was like grape this
FifteenStoryFall (11:21:14 PM): and played more Duke Nukem 3D instead
omgsephy (11:21:20 PM): good choice
FifteenStoryFall (11:21:29 PM): best choice of my childhood, I think

Anyone who says violence never solves problems obviously hasn't used enough.

pretty much.
i like wow a lot, but i know it's not hard now that any old retard can pick up the game and play.
i've watched my dad/friends play starcraft, you have to think ahead while doing stuff at the same time. there is really no concept of the future if you play strictly pve, cuz it's just one boss fight after another.

the only thing I knew how to do
was to keep on keepin' on like a bird that flew
tangled up in blue

Back before I sold my account last year I was up in the 2000 rating arena brackets 2v2/3v3. One little mistake might cost you a match. It can get pretty intense and requires quite a lot of micro and knowledge of your opponent (in terms of matchup). Ventrilo is mandatory if you want to do well with your partner(s).
MMORPG's in general are easier to play casually, but competitive WoW Arenas do require skill.

As for timing, there's just as much timing in RTS.

To be honest once you get good at starcraft it becomes alot easier to play...
WoW is forever changing..
Starcraft probobly takes more skill but than again I have seen some horrible WoW raiders.
