OK, so over this past weekend i stayed at a friends house, so i took my 360 over there. Then i went back to my dads house, but forgot that my 360 was in the back seat of my car, mainly because i was doing other things that day. So today, i came back to my moms house, remembering that my 360 was in my car. I set it up in my room and turned it on, and everything came up fine. However, i went to put in a game, closed the tray, and it wouldnt read. Now, that night it was a little chilly, but i didnt think it would do any harm to the system. What suggestions can you guys make about what i should do, or what might be wrong.

Ummm, okay, so im guessing the problem is that your 360 won't read discs?..
Only thing i can thing of is to i guess find a disc cleaner thing. Like what they use for DVD players, but made for gaming systems.

Cold shouldnt affect it. I have left mine in the car once in the cold (probably 40 degrees F or lower) and it worked just fine
Its probably your disc. Does it read other discs or did you try other discs?

I've had this problem before.
I left my xbox running for about an hour just doing nothing then turned it off for a while and it worked again.

Yeah, i tried to put in 2 discs, and they both didnt work. Im pretty sure its not the discs, and its the system itself that isnt reading the discs. Im gonna try and get a professional opinion on it tomorrow and see where to go from there.

Yeah, i was thinking it was the laser because when i tried to put in the discs again last night it made a weird noise when it tried to read it.
So, yeah. Now im certain that there is something wrong with the laser.

did you leave it were the sunlight hit it? if so then might've helped caused the problem.
