So for those of you who have Diablo II Expansion, B l i t z, Dragonzealot, and I are planning on reinstalling our games and starting completely fresh with new accounts and all this Friday.

If you're interested, you're more than welcome to join in but the one stipulation is that you must use a new account/character in order to play with us.

We'll most likely be playing on USEast, so make sure you create an account there.

So far the roles will be as follows:

B l i t z = Throw Barb (just to give us Warcries and tank)
Dragonzealot = Necromancer of some sort.
Myself = Poormans Hammerdin just to provide damage

We'd prefer if you chose different classes so that we could vary the roles, this would make things a lot more interesting and fun. Plus it would allow us to split drops accordingly.

That pretty much covers everything so far, I'll update this thread periodically if the details change and for those who sign up.

If we actually happen to get more than 8 people, I'll just split the groupings up accordingly so that we can have multiple games running.

I would like to add, this isnt for PvPing purposes. This is merely to get together and have a good time. If you want to make a more PvP character, then by all means.

Just remember that the three Prime Evils are still out there, and we need our band to eradicate them.

Yeah, I'll still be a barb with wcs for you all, but ima put skill points into Concentrate, more tanking ftw. I'll still put a point into double throw for lulz.

I haven't played in weeks, was waiting for the ladder to reset.

I have two of the best trap assassins on NL if you guys want some pro Mama Luigi gear to run through the game with, but if this is on ladder, I'm totally down.

haha I was just thinking about starting back up on this a week or two back(haven't played in years). I'd definately be down if I can get it going, if not I'm thinking about just rebuying the battle chest. maybe you guys can help me out

I lost my cd key for LoD(pretty sure the one I still have is for d2), tried re-installing D2 and LoD a while back with a cdkeygen on my laptop but no dice. I have it installed on my old desktop that I used to play it on, but I'm only about 50/50 that It's the original installation and I never re-installed with a cdkeygen. Downloaded the most recent patch manually, I get past the gateway deal but then am stuck on "connecting to fastest server..." for a couple of minutes until I get to "unable to connect to bnet, check your modem/blah blah blah".

so I'm wondering if since the ladder is being reset/whatever bnet is down and this is happening for everyone? I remember bnet is sketchy as plum and it used to do this stuff all the time.

the cdkey I have is 16 digits, pretty sure D2 and LoD's cdkeys both are but if not lmk and I'll just pick up the one I need rather than the battlechest.

what's relevant for pvp? I used to play mostly pally, little bit of zon/sorc and then sorc for mf like everyone else. haha last time I played maphack was still viable so doing meph runs or whatever for items is going to suck dicks.

PC: It's pretty easy to get into and is definately worth the money(probably $25-35 for the battlechest which comes with D2 and LoD(the expansion)). no monthly fee, ladder resets and 8 different characters with different builds allow for a lot of versatility and replayability. characters expire after 90 days(something like that) of inactivity, that's really the only thing I never liked.

By the way DWT, characters don't "expire" anymore. They do have a countdown, but you simply click them like any character and play. Lol sucks for deleting old guys

Low level duels have never been so much fun!

That said. Funny story.

Dragonzealot (3:41:21 AM): only killed one cuz the other ran like a Princess Peach

All I do is chill while my Skellys do the manual labor. Its like my own personal group of Mexicans!

Lol. More fun for Thorns+Golem. Friend told me to make it.
Not done, but very fun for a noob to die to Golem and say "wtf strong golem", especially when those players are 20-30 levels higher, lol.
