edit: how can half the players remaining be mafia when there are only going to be 2 mafia members...

I've tried a pure thread mafia once, it didn't work out like I wanted. Hopefully you will get the results you want.

@mod, what do you consider twilight?
Just anything before you announce the official death and start of night?

He is saying, mafia kills off 4 people by effect and lynches.
So it is 2 mafia and 2 townie/cop
That way no majority against the mafia should be formed.
The mafia will kill in the night, which gives them majority in the day.

If townies are lynched, it will eventually get to the point where there are 2 mafia and 2 townies, ending the game. Any position with x mafia and x +1 townies is called LoL, or Lynch or Lose. If they don't lynch correctly, they will lose the game.

I've never played a mafia game, but I'd do it if someone could help guide me along and what-not.
It's too damn hot for a penguin to just be walkin' around here. I gotta send him back to the South Pole!

My day was tough. My dad is going blind, so we went through a bunch of vision exercises.
