Honestly, I'm gonna listen to andy if he ever plays mafia.

I think he nailed Krizz, Psi, James and I -think- Sean in one post as mafia (like, he hinted their bandwagon-ness or something. It's somewhere in the beginning), then said something about BlitzPlayer somewhere else.

Then JUST before he died he stopped chido. I thought that was some cool plum.

Actually Coin should be MVP for actually having the balls to vote Sean.

I don't understand why no one wanted to be the first to vote Sean. The reason was they were scared to look scummy(or that is what they said). But who would they look scummy to? The group was practically the whole town.

If Sean wasn't voted off and mafia got more active; the game could've been far diffferent.

The only inactive Mafia member was Sean. Psi and I conversed via PM every day. I talked to James multiple times via PM and AIM. BP died kinna early on, and as such we only talked twice.

Game was great. Keep all of the roles. The only thing you should change is talking outside the thread. 7.5/10

Some pro plum right here.

Setup was good, no reviving role for town kind of evened out everything, but there were just so much power roles, its fine but if everyone is gonna have one you should balance it a little more.

Modship was 10/10
balance was 7/10
fun 9/10

Honestly, just because i dont have AIM but i would've liked being on those mass convos. But yeah, i dont like the whole talking outside the thread idea

Mafia was actually dangerously close this entire time. Here's what happened in the game in the mafia point of view.

Day 1-No lynch. Trying to kill someone would have made us stand out. 12v5v1

Night 1-We killed Blitz because if anyone ever makes it to the end of the game, it's Blitz. We might as well kill him now (good hit). 10v5v1

Day 2-We pushed Tenken off of BP and townie lynched Tenken instead. 10v5v1

Night 2-We lynched andy-oh because he seemed to know a lot about this game and actually somewhat called out each of us mafia members. We knew we had to take him out now. 9v5v1

Day 3-Master came out as the cop and we had no choice but to lynch BP 9v4v1

Night 3-Was the turning point of the game. We got screwed. I don't think Krizz explained anywhere, but here is his role pm:

Anthony “Fat Tony” D’Amico – You are Fat Tony, The Godfather of the mafia. You are the head, and therefore you will PM me at night going Night Kill – [User]. That user will be killed. You know the following people:

Legs D’Amico – Sean
Vincent “Vinny” D’Amico – BlitzPlayer
Johnny Tightlips D’Amico – James
“Frankie The Squealer” D’Amico – Psi

At Night you may communicate with each other to discuss who you want to kill. If you die the rest of your family will decide on who to kill.

As well, your kill at night can never be stopped by another power. I repeat, never.

You are a Mafia. You win if the Mafia wins.

When wit- told us it can never be stopped we assumed it could never be stopped. So, we lynched Master. And what do you know, it was stopped. We all pretty much raged after that. We silenced Tenken because he was probing everyone for information the mafia (save me) didn't have. We were considering silencing JiB at one point but after JiB pm'd me his role we knew he would die along with Master.
Speaking of Tenken, I got a pm earlier asking me if I was Krusty, which was the oddest thing because my dupplinghost was Krusty before wit- changed it to Apu. When Krizz asked me for a role he couldn't give Tenken, I suggested giving him this:

Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofski – Hey hey kids! *laugh* You are Krusty The Klown. Although you’re technically a townie, the mafia loves laughter too. Because of this it doesn’t matter what faction wins, as long as you live by the end of it, you win. Whether the townies win or mafia do they still appreciate your sense of humour.

You are a neutral. You win if you survive by the end.

But I thought someone else had this role because Tenken was looking for them. But if I had given it to Krizz it could have flipped the entire game upside down. I was being probbed to, so I gave him my duplinghost, even if I had no powers. I had no choice, if I gave myself powers and the cop inspected me, he would have found out I was lying about my powers, even more suspicious than not having any powers at all. 9v4v1

Day 4-Master reveals Krizz, but we almost lynch Drew, then we lynch Sean. A horrible day-night for mafia. If Krizz or me would have been killed rather than Sean, we could have had the game in the next couple of days (I'll explain why later) 9v3v1

Night 4-You could say I "squealed" on Tenken, I sent wit- the pm to get him modkilled. It was really the only good thing the mafia did during the past day. Not sure what happened that night, we basically fell apart. We were down to three and the town knew 2 and were very suspicious of me and my no powers. Luckily Chido killed Drew, his power would have killed my plan. If mafia had killed someone we would have won on day 6. I don't know what happened as I didn't get to tell Krizz who to lynch, but I assume he lynched Coin. 7v3v1

Day 5-I tried pushing the town to kill Shinkahbah, keeping Chido and myself alive. Little did I know he could contact the Simpsons. I thought I had a pretty convincing argument w/o that info. Chido was lynched halving the night kills.

Basically the only way we could have won is by killing someone and JiB this night or by winning or tying the vote Day 6. But we were one person away from winning.

So there are a couple of scenarios were the mafia would have won.

Had Sean been alive rather than Krizz or I, we would have won Day 6.
Had we lynched someone Night 3 or 4, we would have won Day 6.
Any combination would have resulted winning Day 5.

We were looking at 6v3 Day 6. One of those couldn't talk. One of those would be silenced by James. So in reality it would have been 4v3. Had it been 3v3 we would have caused a tie, causing no lynch. Next night we kill someone, next day we start townie lynching the townies. Game over.

With Sean it would have been 6v3, with 4v3 being able to vote. But with Sean's power it would have been more like 4v5, and we would have won.




Tl;dr version: I don't think balancing was the problem. The problem was clarity issues with roles and outside communication. Mafia can't give out roles on the spot. Even if they can, it doesn't always work (see Psi). Also, when you say "never, I repeat, never," please mean never.

Even tho I could not post in the thread and point the FOS at ppl it was still fun to follow along with the whole thing so ya I'd play again. However like Krizz sayed like day 2 or 3 or whatever the game would have been alot more fun if things would have stayed in the thread instead of on the AIM en stuff. But over all enjoyable =D ....soooooo when do we start a new one? I'm itchin to do some actual posting this time lol

I think he meant that your power could never be *stopped*, as in a power that stops people from activating yours. Your power was protected against, not necessarily stopped.
