Do not post if you are not in the game.

For dead posting, an unrevealing "bah!" post is fine.
It probably won't get out of hand. There's not much that can be revealed if you die, I don't think.
Blitz will delete your posts anyway.

This game is entirely thread based.
Posting your role PMs will not make a plum's difference.
Days end after 24 hours have passed, or whenever a majority is reached.
Which should be pretty fast if you are all active participants in the game you signed up for.
Nights would last 12 hours, but I only need one night action. I might end the night right after I get the action, or I might wait a while.

This game could be, and most likely will be, very short. There is only one person who needs to be killed for the town to win. The killer will have to be as good an actor as he is a murderer. So is to say, all of you will have to make attempts at gaining trust with one another. Just bear in mind that the killer will be after your trust, as well. He may even try to turn you against other players. But then again, under so much pressure, that might very well be exactly what your innocent comrades are doing, in the pursuit of trying to stop the horrible assassin once and for all?

Setup:
9 Townies
1 SK

Players:
1. Savior
2. Dolemite!
3. JiB

Substitutes for inactive players, if we need them:
1. Tenken
2. Just ask if you want to be one

Dead:
1. Kaiser Gogeta [Townie] - Town-lynched, Day 1
2. DSS [Townie] - SK killed, Night 1
3. Nejiki [Townie] - Town-lynched, Day 2
4. Master [Townie] - SK killed, Night 2
5. BlitzPlayer [Townie] - Town-lynched, Day 3
6. wit- [Townie] - SK killed, Night 3
7. DWT [Townie] - SK killed, Night 4

Vote count as of post #:

Yet to vote: 3 (Sage, Savior, JiB)

With 3 alive, it takes 2 votes for a majority.

Rules c/p'd

Rules

Politely borrowed from Achilles who borrowed from Mafia 94, with slight changes I guess

1.) This game will start in daytime, when all confirms are in.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes must be bolded otherwise they won't be counted. When switching your vote, you must unvote first.
3.) When a player reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. All players can still talk during twilight. If there is no majority before 24 hours have passed, the person with the highest number of votes is lynched.
4.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread.
5.) Once dead, you stop posting. An unrevealing "bah!" post is fine.
6.) If you have any questions about your role or anything else, feel free to PM me, or my AIM is: Skuffter
7.) Try to post at least once every 24 hours. Treat the game as a committment. If you go inactive for a long period, you will be replaced.
8.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time.
9.) Have fun!
10.) If there's anything else, I'll add it as we go.

You either got this role:
Townie. You're no one other than yourself as a 'role', as is the same with everyone else.

You are not the killer. Somebody else among you is, though, while the others are just as terrified and confused as you are.

You win when the killer is dead.
or this role
Killer. You're no one other than yourself as a 'role', as is the same with everyone else.

You are a hired assassin. You've been told to mingle with the rest of the folk, picking them off one by one until they're all gone.

You win when you're the last one alive.
Terms to know:

vote [username] Makes your vote official
unvote [username] Removes your past vote. Must do this before switching votes.
@mod This is referred to me. @mod votecount tells me to post the most updated votecount. You can ask any questions directly to me by using "@mod" and then the question.

I forget anything? Let me know, I'll fix it.
If you have any questions, PM me, or AIM: Skuffter

the story?

It was a cloudless evening. It was almost an illustration of written fate-- bland, and unpredictable. Eleven guests were invited to the formerly owned Fortune Manor. According to local rumors, the place was built by Lord Fortune himself, and he invited all of ETC to live in it. For a while, it was quite the party, but a big house full of homeless orangegots can't really go on for very long, without the roof being brought down and everyone being forced out. They say that Fortune died in that house. As it can be seen today, over half of the building is in complete ruins. There isn't even an upstairs anymore. It was unknown from who or why the guests received these invitations, but it came with the promise of a hidden chest-- Lord Fortune's treasure.

The rest of that first night went as expected. Friends as well as foes were all gathered into one den. Everyone exchanged their introductions and pleasantries, bearing the fact in mind that they were all summoned for the same reason, and there is only one treasure chest to be found. Of course, more people were invited, but only eleven showed up. The eleven people that did show up all needed the money for different reasons. While the competition was made out to be friendly at first, everyone knew that it wasn't really that way; or at least, it wouldn't be for long.

No one had any luck on the first night. On the first floor, there was what used to be one bedroom still holding itself up, and on the ground there was some ripped blankets and pillows, roughly enough for everyone to fall asleep using. Not everyone wanted to retire so quickly, and they continued to search. Some of the guests stayed up all night looking.

The morning hours arrived. Some folks were still looking in the parts of the house that were still possible to get to that they haven't checked yet, as they assumed the treasure they were promised wouldn't be under a pile of debris. Everyone who decided they did not want to be a night owl got up one by one to continue looking themselves. In the duration of the previous night's treasure hunting escapade, some alliances were formed, with the promise of splitting Fortune's fortune evenly. These bonds were put off for the time being. One of the guests didn't wake up. No one worried at first; some people just sleep in late. But no one turns pale and loses their pulse when they sleep. The ten remaining guests were struck with terror. Bonds of trust that were formed were instantaneously thrown into question, or broken off completely. Everyone knew what they were doing from their arrival to the discovery of one of their competitor's dead body. It had to have been someone, though, right? There was a killer on the loose, and he was pretending to be as confused, horrified and innocent as the others! Why is this happening? Who invited the guests here, and for what? Is there even a treasure to be found!?

Skuff has died. He was a Townie.

It could be any one of you now..

Lets look at this game:

Is it smart to vote No-Lynch day 1? If we do then the score goes to 8-1 and we still have only a 1/9 chance of hitting the SK on day 2. If we lynch 1 then the score will be 7-1 by day 2, with us having a 1/10 chance to hit right the first day and then a 1/8 chance to hit the second day. Overall, it won't really hurt our chances of winning that much, but it will help us weed out the SK faster.

Also, we can't lynch a more 'valuable' player on day 1 like in other games. I say that we shouldn't no lynch day 1, we won't get much info from randomly posting like in other games, because we can't claim roles / powers or prove roles / powers wrong.

Alas, poor Yorick.

oh

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It is going to be a lot hard to get info this game, and day 1 its not like we are going to lynch someone wiht a broke power.

Slip ups aren't going to happen. No one is going to band wagon since there is no teams. There are no roles so no one can mess up like that either, we are shooting in the dark here.
