In Bizarro ETC, people don't apple or whine, and are kind and smart.

In Bizarro ETC.

Where would the voting take place? All members would be allowed to vote, right?

I don't think OT would be the place to do the voting though. Some member don't contribute to OT, or visit, or they don't visit it much. You should make a sub forum in important announcements and have the voting there. But that's just my opinion. No reason to have something that is basically an important topic in a place where the topics are a little less important. I didn't word that how I liked, but I think you get the idea.

We could just make a forum wide announcement and put it in any forum. It's really not that significant.

Staff / Ex-Staff should only vote. Stops the 5 people nominated from making multiple accounts.

No, this could EASILY turn into a popularity contest or who can suck up the most to Mod(s).

"Good" people on this site have been banned. Multiple times.

If I gave you or any of the former staff/hall of fame access to the staff lounge for a month, it's not like they would go on a crazy suggestion spree and propose tons of new and unique ideas. A new guy probably won't either, but at least they'll get the chance.

I seem to recall sparking every discussion that has changed anything around here for the last six months. Just sayin'. This isn't even really about 'lounge access' per se because frankly I don't want in on your clique's circle-jerk, but it would be nice if the people who made this place what it is today got some sort of recognition aside from a gold grapeing tag and a meaningless usergroup.

I like the way a Hall of Famer (who will remain nameless) put it on AIM the other day-

Them: The real question is when are we gonna get you a HoF tag?
FifteenStoryFall: Not gonna happen, I've kinda been under the radar for the duration of my stay on ETC
Them: Maybe, but it'd be easier on the admins if everyone they ignore was in one usergroup

You guys love to say that we ignore all of you, but that really isn't the case at all. First of all, what active HoF'ers are there? Mavs, Vash, Spartan sometimes, SnaKKer, and Shadow was. Mavs posts rarely, Shadow's not in the group anymore, and when he was, he usually commented on ideas and gave feedback instead of spearheading a campaign, Vash has been very involved and we all listen, and SnaKKer has been very supportive and we all listen as well.

A certain HoF'er contacted me on aim and told me I should make a certain mod a global mod soon. (I think you get who I'm taking about). I told him that while I agree with the idea, I'm not doing any staff changes any time soon, so it's not on my agenda.

Also, LOL at the 6 months comment. No offense Rurouni, but June 29th =\= 6 months ago. You suggested we do something, and the main thing that came up was with the board layout. That coincided well with the board conversion, and it was a good idea. From there most of the other stuff has been staff and the "ignored" working together.

Who exactly is in my clique Rurouni? Do you know how many ETC users I regularly talk to? 1. And he isn't even that active anymore. As an admin, I am willing to have a discussion with anyone on etc or anything they want if the visit etc because I feel that as part of my job. I don't mind talking to anyone and a lot of people are pretty interesting, but they're not in my clique because I don't have a clique.

Now I have some questions for you.

Say we did allow HoF/Ex-staff to be considered. How many actual candidates do you think there would be?
I don't understand how being MotM is a greater recognition than Hall of Fame.
"I seem to recall sparking every discussion that has changed anything around here for the last six months." I sure don't. Enlighten me.

Please reply if you're serious about this. I don't want to type out a serious response and get "lolz I wuz trolling" or something like that.
