A long time ago, in a land very, very, very far away (surrounded by cornfields in downstate Michigan), there was an interesting little town. Yes, most of the towns around these parts have people that are as bland as their surroundings, but not this one. No, this was a special [b]Town[/b]. Hell Michigan, with an astounding population of 300 strong, is serious business. To say why it's named Hell is simply beyond the scope of this already cliched introduction, so let's just get to the point here.
Despite the name of the town, most of its inhabitants are quite proud of it. But they are also an honest and hardworking people. They put up with a lot of plum because after all, they live in hell, but they have generally been able to manipulate their town into a tourist attraction. After all, what self respecting American wouldn't be interested in hell? Bunch of wimps, that's who.
But not everyone was happy. Although Hell was ironically a small town, lots of radical fringe groups out there have been plotting its destruction since its founding. But there is one group in particular that deserves special attention.
"So, have the preparations been made?" inquired a deep throat.
"Yes, dude. I have sent an army of [b]Ninjas[/b] to Hell. By dawn, operation "Rolling Dude" will commence." said a deeper throat.
It was dawn. Everyone in Hell woke up early to watch the news. I think you all know what's coming.

Meh. The people of Hell weren't concerned about their president. After all, they were going to oust the old fart out of office in an upcoming election. They didn't care, though they didn't know that this organization has ordered the ninjas to target the rest of town as well!
But one group DID care. These people were a bunch of young bucks, no older than 20. These were the type of people that locked themselves up in their basements nightly and sitting on their computers doing suspicious activities. Typical [b]Pirates[/b].
"Yo dawg, wtf is this plum? Our great president was kidnapped my some pathetic ninjas?" said a pirate.
"It was probably a government conspiracy. They must have figured out that the president of Hell was condoning our activities from the start!" said another pirate.
"You know what really makes me sick? It's that the people of Hell don't really care. They have made our town that was founded on sins a complete joke after allowing the travel channel to feature on their show "Extreme Towns". I think THEY are responsible for this fiasco."
"You're right! I say we save cracking the next build of Windows 7 for another time. We will fulfill our duties as pirates to make Hell what it should be! We will kill these mothergrapeers."
"Sounds like a plan. Let's go to K-Mart and get some guns!"
But wait. Someone was tapping the pirate's telephone.
"Mayor!" said a vanilla townie. "We have word that a group of pirates an ninjas have decided to declare all out war on our town. What will we do?"
"Easy," said the mayor. "I and 11 of my fellow citizens of Hell will stay true to our roots. We will search for traitors by the night and then kill them in a bloody lynch by the day!"
"Sounds good," said the vanilla townie. Little did the mayor know that he was actually a ninja spy.
And there you have it. The most implausible background of any mafia game you have ever seen. But hey, it's Pirates vs. Ninjas, after all!
