saw a couple of old time sigs being re-done in a vertical way.. decided to give it a whirl as well..
*shrugs* not sure if it does it justice..

Maybe try diagonal tech and some colder colors? Blues?

I love the sharpness and contrast of the original, I would up that a little on the vertical one. The new one has some nice effects and colors but I would add some tech elements like CP said, because they fit really well with the concept.
