I used to be very aggressive and overextended alot and lost alot of games because of it. I found that playing more conservatively and pushing only when you know you have game or you know they have nothing to punish you is the best way to play, at least for me.

obv it depends on the deck one uses.

but generally, I'm a tight player until an opportunity arises in which I can capitalize.

Depends on the deck, but, I'm more of a aggressive and reckless player. I rarely play defensive, Most I do is stall, but don't waste cards to protect myself, I usual count on my monsters for that. I tend to use cards early and hope to get some advantage early and then go for the kill. You can also say I'm like to control the game a lot.

I'm very controlling, and not the type to let advantage go. This doesn't mean I'm either reckless or conservative. I do whatever it takes to keep advantage.

Depends on the deck I'm using. When I play BW, I play aggro against Rogue decks. Just about everything else is control.

Generally speaking though, I act before I think, which has lost me a handful of games. D:
Decks:
Magic
Elfball (T1.5), Aggro Elves (T1.5)
Yugi
Zombies, Morphtronic, Dragunity

I REALLY like Cube Drafting.

It really depends on the matchup. In fact, your playstyle should completely change from one matchup to the next.

But i guess in general i'm just really conservative and wait for a moment to capitalize.

Last format with BWs, I played more aggressively and would burn out early, yet still win (ty DSF).

With GBs, I play more conservatively, esp since Solemn's @ 1.

This

But I tend to play more controlling decks. I don't overextend and I hold back until my opponent misplays/overextends and I squash them.

Build advantage, figure out what they're running, make reads based on that, explode when I know they have nothing to stop it.

That's the general idea.
