It would give a whole new insight to the game. Because somethings aren't as obvious as this card is brokez. It's more of how they playtested it and saw how it works. I think that this would help the understanding between the creators and players.

OTK/FTk/Loop/"Healthy game."
But at ETC we could do that in a banlist discussion. It would mostly be speculation, but yea.

With this being said, we have to look no further to the plethora of badly written & utterly broken Create A Card threads, people wanting cards like Imperial Order, Cyber Jar, Magical Scientist & Chaos Emperor Dragon to be unbanned, people writing articles about how stealing from little kids through trades is alright (anyone on Pojo should know what I'm talking about here), people constantly whining about not being able to beat popular decks, people constantly wanting everything to remain overpriced or become common, people arguing about ruling related concepts that have completely no grounds, people saying a balanced card is broken just because they aren't able to play around it, and whatever other form of widespread idiocy that we've all seen to notice why Konami probaly doesn't voice their opinions anymore than they have to about banlists, card releases, or even BKSS ruling changes
If my last paragraph was too much of a tl;dr, Just look at how much heat & controversy Kevin Tewart got for simply voicing his opinion on Heavy Storm & Solemn Judgment. While you and I may be able to read "Konami's thoughts" & discuss them intelligently, a lot of other people would just use it as an anchor & justification for their uncontrollable idiocy that wouldn't help Konami's image. While I think that Brain Control be banned, somebody else could come up with just as many reasons why its good for the game. If Konami tried to pass an official reason for why they banned it, people would react negatively to having a specific reason pushed down their throats that they didn't agree with, instead of spending the next 6 months being more open minded.
Either way, I get what you're saying, and I think it'd be cool if Konami set up a section on their page where they discussed things in a blog or forum form or something. I just don't think that players are ready to hear that Judgment Dragon wasn't banned because it doesn't see overwhelming play in Japan, or that Ceasefire is still limited to 1 because it overpowers an underused mechanic & fuels direct damage builds. People wanna read that whatever decktype they can't beat is getting hurt, while whatever deck they're winning with isn't... And that's not realistic.

I see what you're saying, but it's not for the players to agree on, it's more so for them to have intellectual discussion about what cards should be played and what do the creators of the game think. It's a break from the normal way that the creators of a game would discuss with the players, as in it's more of a one way discussion. Konami makes the rulings, explain, and we discuss on what type of impact those changes had.
I think it's more of a type of thing with the idea of how I see the game. I don't see it as a player, nor a creator. I think that it would spark some healthy (more unhealthy though) discussion on how the mechanics of the Forbidden/Advanced Format List work, and our discussion can bring some ideas that Konami can't see as the creator's point of view into the game.
@James: It would be official Konami stuff, so it would have to be an in-depth explanation. (At least that's what I would want)

I'd like if it Konami had some of the people directly involved with making decisions explain them, because it would just be another view for me to consider. However, I can also understand why they would rather "keep it in the family", so its kinda a two way road. Keeping to the idea of doing more for their community, I'd also like it if they had more man power to deal with store inquiries & the gameplay aspect, but it seems like they're cutting corners like everyone else, and we've just gotta deal with it.
That's why we still don't have an official rulings database, & why my TO still hasn't been able to santion our tournaments. However, I don't think it would really take long for someone post a few detailed thoughts on why certain choices were made. If anything, passing the article through all of the proper channels would take longer than writing it.

Considering the amount of fake lists that get tagged "confirmed", and the fact that he said it wouldn't be the same for sure, I don't see where the hostility is coming from. Also, lets remember that the most popular fake involved nonsense like Honest being limited & didn't mention Lonefire Blossom & something else, the case that he apparently "lied" to us isn't valid anyways.
