ABPF-JP014 Bad End Queen Dragon

Dark/Dragon - Effect/6/1900/2600

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned if you control 3 or more face-up Continuous Magic Cards. When Battle Damage is inflicted to your opponent as a result of this card attacking, your opponent selects 1 card in their hand and sends it to the graveyard, and you draw 1 card. Also, if this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, during your Standby Phase, by sending 1 face-up Continuous Magic Card you control to the Graveyard, Special Summon it from the Graveyard.

Indirect Crystal Beast support maybe? A very interesting card to say the very least. Not really any high play value, but an extremely fun card to play aroudn with. Thoughts? Discuss.

Only for this card I would play Crystal Beasts, that effect reminds me when "Airknight Parshath" was released.

ABPF keeps getting better and better.

I would only use 2, max though.

This is a nice addition to Crystal beasts. Only thing is, if you plan to run Rainbow Dragon then space could become tight. The discar/draw effect is nice though. Maybe run 1 or 2 in the deck.

I would think Bad End Queen Dragon would be a tad bit better because it doesn't have to wait a turn to use its power, unlike Rainbow Dragon. But it can swing with its massive 4000 ATK the moment it hits the field.

But then again, once that goes by, Rainbow Dragon can wreck face. Just comes down to what you want. I always did prefer stronger effects than pure, raw power. Rarely would I go against this, esp. when it's a lot easier to SS Bad End as opposed to Rainbow Dragon.

One more thing to consider is that by using Bad End, you don't have to use those useless 1-ofs like Emerald Tortoise and Cobalt Eagle as opposed to the Rainbow Dragon builds.

Hmm, I saw CB's + burden for this card. Would that work? I think it would.

Burden of the mighty x 3 is still 3 continuous spells. >>

My only complaint about it is its ATK. In some matches, you'll be able to get off its effect a few times. But against a lot of the top decks, I just don't see this working too well without Burden or so like Anonymoose said.

It has 1900/2600 for stats, and Crystal Beast decks should be able to special summon this card moderately well without expelling too many resources. By the same token however, its not like you can drop it "that" easily, so it seems pretty balanced considering that its mostly playable in an unbalanced deck.

If you're concerned about the ATK only being 1900, I think thats pretty generous given the +2 card advantage it can net, and the fact that you can also special summon it in defense mode if need be. Speaking of that, not having to use your normal summon seems really key for me here. Do I wanna over'hype this card too much? Of course not. However, as the set draws closer, I'm starting to look at my Crystal Beast cards with a little more confidence, even if I'm not gonna have room for Burden of the Mighty.

Lastly, I'm still loving the fact that you don't need to get rid of the 3 continous spell cards, as well as the self revival option it has so yeah. Hopefully this won't be a secret.

Crystal Beasts might actually see more play now. If only it was 2900...
