It's not knowing how to use it or not really. It's just being a decent player, and the same can be said for any card. lol

It's more knowing when to use it based on reads you've made concerning your opponent's hand based on the game state and their graveyard etc.

Oh I know it. I had to laugh when my first run with them in my Morpho deck opened with the Valley Dupe play in turn two and made for a godly play for 2 PTD on the field at the same time with Limiter in hand.

Yeah, decks like that are neat, but I find them somewhat impractical.

In decks like Cat Synchro, TeleDaD, Zombies etc., the 3rd effect is much more logical.

However there can be several circumstances in which Cyber Valley becomes a very versatile card in said decks.

Yeah but unless you are using Valley for that effect alone, the draw usually is what you get out of it.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying.

I NEVER see myself using Cyber Valley with an empty field and 9 times out of 10 I'm ahead in Card Advantage and Life Points. To recycle a card, when a good player decides to utilize that effect, usually spells the end for their opponent.

Now I'm not going to say a word to cut down those neat "flip Spy, summon Valley and d2" plays, but they're usually not the best move if you think.

Never been a fan of that and for the better part, I dont get Valley often where the third effect is needed to make going for game unstoppable. Then again, just started using them recently and havent had to go for that effect just yet.

Considering you're using Morphtronics as opposed to a super explosive tier deck like I listed, I could see you not utilizing that effect at all.

I dont see a tier deck using Valley for a while, but then again I can always be wrong. Its a good choice for saving ass for a turn when you dont have a Roar or anything else.

Usually Valley is just a tech card. Like I've been saying, it's too vulnerable for a GOOD deck to rely on.

Dont have to tell me twice. I can see it getting blown up if you dont use it the same turn you summon, and that is if BW just dont use Icarus Atk.

Exactly. It's playability in standard decks has really dropped with the advent of cards that can just...kill plum.

That being said, it's still a very cool card with almost unparalleled versatility in a variety of situations.

but there are better cards.

Wow...you've enlarged my mind! I should have known from the beginning that Pot of Greed is a better card!

DIDNT KNOW SYNCHROS CAN BE NORMAL SUMMONED
HOLY grape MAN
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING

Monsters don't have to be normal summoned for the player to call priority ;/ Normal summoning has nothing to do with it.

But yeah. Cyber Valley is just no longer top tier...which makes me a bit sad since my set is collecting dust. It's still usable, since it baits out Icarus and Books.

This is the worst thread I have ever read. Ever. I just spent 5 minutes calming my headache after /facedesk through this whole thread.

Killa4nia you are a plum member and I can tell that I don't like you. Twitter could sadly probably kill you in a duel and yeah. However, as much as this hurts me. Pains me. I have to agree that I don't think Cyber Valley is that good of a card. Your reasons are complete trash (I don't even know if you have any. Not going back and reading this thread)

Before I go over this cards effect and why it is bad, I want to say that I do think this card can be decent. Problem: It requires me to use sub par cards to abuse his effect and make him worth wild. (Scapegoat, Mind Control, etc) Cards that could easily be replaced with better cards.

Anyway, on to the effect:

Effect #1: If this card is attacked draw a card.

Trash effect. Celestia, JD, Gyzarus, Murmillo, Icarus, Book of Moon, and other cards laugh at this effect. Sure Cyber Valley could bait these cards out, but I really think that that is a pretty piss poor reason to use this card. Thats like me running my sangan into a lumina to try to draw out an honest. Even if on the off chance he does honest I give up field position leaving my opponent with a chance to explode.

Effect #2: Remove this card and a monster to draw 2 cards.

This effect brings me back to what I said earlier. To make this effect as good as possible I need to dedicate cards to my deck. Cards that might not really work with the rest of the deck. Imo 2 draws aren't worth ruining synagry. You could always use his effect without any key cards, but that would require me to waste a summon and give up a monster. After those 2 draws what follow up do I have? Also, I don't find anything sucking more then drawing into a second valley

Effect #3: I gotta agree with Charlie and say this effect is pro as hell in LS. You putting a Wulf or JD on top of the deck can be pretty cool to see I must say. Or you can put a BW on top for a Whirlwind search next turn. Idk. However, imo using Cyber Valley for cool combos like that ruins the synagry of the deck.

So yeah, Cyber Valley is a versitle card, but if you don't use other cards to abuse his effect (and most of the time those cards would have better options instead of trying to get a draw with a valley) the card is pretty meh. So yeah, I've never been a fan of this card.

First yugioh post in a week. Feels grapeing good.
