Multiple questions in one:
1) I have a face monster, opponent has two face up monsters. I attack his Apprentice Magician (level 1 or 2 spellcaster in face down defense position when card is sent to the graveyard).
I activate Kaiser Colosseum - as long as I have at least one face up monster, opponent can't place a monster if it would allow him to have more monsters on the field than me.
Does that negate the searchers effect? Does the card get placed then sent to the graveyard via Kaiser Colosseum?
The card he wanted was Old Vindictive Magician, should he have gotten the flip effect?
2) Once KC is in effect, if opponent kills my monster such that I have none on my field, does KC go away?
Thanks!

1)Well the way you worded the first question it makes it seem like you activated Kaiser Coliseum during the battle phase which you can't do. But if it was already on the field then they can't add another monster to their side of the field with the searcher because that would make them have more monsters than you.
2) No Kaiser Coliseum won't go away. It'll stay even if you have no monsters on the field.
Also wrong section man.

So that is the first issue, I did activate during the battle phase, when should that have been activated?
If activated and opponent has more monsters, do their monsters go away?
Which section should this be?
Thanks!

So if KC is activated in main phase two and the opponent has more monsters on the field than me, do they go away or can the opponent simply not set anymore until the card is gone? Because if I played the turn correctly, I would have attacked, Magician Apprentice goes away, Old Vindictive Magician gets set in face down defense position, then I activate KC. I have one monster, he has two.

your opponent just wont be able to set or summon anymore monsters until they get rid of KC or you summon more monsters
