You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this card. When this attacking card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 2 "Rockstone Tokens" (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). These Tokens cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon.

I see no real point of running this card in anything outside of Rock Stun, and even thats iffy at best.

Extremely solid stats, though.

Stats mean nothing in a format where every tier 1 deck has easy outs to everything, but even if they didn't this is still out classed by cards like Garoth and Rai-Oh.

Sounds like your talking down to me.plum if stats ment nothing at all, cards like Goyo Guardian and Judgment Dragon would be plum out of luck. I'll agree that the card is mediocre, but you really don't need to tell someone what they already know (telling me about a format sheesh).

Would be better if it gets the token effect by being attacked.

This might have been able to see play in Dark Gaia. But it's filler for Rock Stun, until Koa'ki Meiru Sandman.

Really? Cause i don't have the freedom to post things as I see fit, with reasonable respect and decency levels. I saw some potential in the card, so I posted it. If I don't post things to your standards, that's your problem, not mine.

If you want to be a neworange, and continue arguing, take it to pms. i'm not cluttering up my own topic with arguements.

Here's the thing about Rockstone Warrior.

While you're not getting anything flashy or that amazing, you are getting an 1800/1600 Earth/Rock monster that much like Spell Striker, prevents any battle damage from being inflicted. This alone is pretty solid, as you're only other option that I'm aware of for an "1800 Rock" guy is Fossil Tusker, who has 0 DEF & a less pertinent effect. Yeah, I'm aware that Gigantes & The Rock Spirit have been around for a while, but those are special summon only monsters, thus falling into a different area of subspace.

So moving past the stats & damage damage prevention (which already make it better than Fossil Tusker in most cases), Rockstone Warrior remains unique in that if he's destroyed by a battle & sent to the graveyard where he was the attacking card, he'll essencially break into pieces by special summoning a pair of tokens. Are you going to intensionally attack into a larger monster to trade Rockstone Warrior for a pair of restricted 0/0 tokens? In most cases you won't. However, there's more than a good chance of finding yourself struck by an Honest, Kalut, Shrink, etc, especially during a situation where taking damage & being left without a monster would otherwise be the case. With this baron of bedrock though, you'll take no battle damage regardless of whose turn it is, and where you'll get some compensation for running into that spear if you're the attacker.

Again, while I won't try and hype Rockstone Warrior as one of those recently forgotten cards that'll change the way we think about the game, I'd be a fool to ignore the uniquely desirable touches that accomplish what few other cards in its theme range do. Also, it'd have been nice for the reprinted text to reflect the card's rulings by specifying "Normal Summon or Set", but that's clearly asking too much of our makers, clearly.

-sigh- Someone in this thread is being awful again.

To keep on topic, this is pretty good and I wouldnt really consider this for RockStun because they do have so many better options. Its already been said that taking an Honest in the face is not a big problem with this guy since you take no damage and get 2 tokens.

The tokens themselves are good for being filler levels for a Synchro summon, and with the stats on this guy, in more cases, its going to take one of those vaunted 'outs' to get him off the field unless you have something readily available in your deck that is bigger than Rockstone.

I like the fact that you don't take any battle damage.
And it's fuel for Gigantes and Gaia Plate.

Good card I like the stats and when it gets killed in battle you get 2 tokens that can either protect you, sac the tokens for plasma assuming you summon another monster next turn or you could use the tokens with Enemy Controller.

It's bad in anything that can't use the tokens that well(Plasma maybe?). Even then there are probably better options.

Not even sure I'd use this in Rock Stun

Dark Gaia is the only deck I'd bother with this in, probably not even then, but maybe...
