Breaker may not be a horrible side next format, but I see no reason to play him over Thunder Kind Rai-oh

This wont be a slow format if the meta game stays to everyones predictions. Synchro Cat, BWs, GBs, and Lightsworn. It'll be a fast format, not by speed necessarily but by how consistently fast your deck can explode over the other. How I see it being this format for the beginning of it at least. Not sure how Infirnitys will effect the metagame.
I would really love to see Infernity's do good, and they just might if they get some cool support other than what they already have.

Lol, I just grinded out a LS/Zombie variant down to decking himself out twice just now using control elements and hiding behind RFG monsters.

You're daft - this format is MUCH slower.

I think Apollo made the best post. Idk why I would want to waste a summon. I would want to summon a gadget and continue the cycle yo. I think Dust Tornado is much much better, and is a card that I have been testing 2 of (With success)

Breaker is great against BWs because is faster than "Dust Tornado", I'm not saying that is better than "Dust Tornado" both are great against that match, the thing is that TKR can't disrupt "Icarus Attack" while Breaker can, I don't think TKR is better against that match, it really depends on how your deck is structured and how you play. Against GBs "Doomcaliber Knight" is the way to go, not Breaker, not TKR.

I'd rather hit the Icarus with Dust Tornado in the endphase and not waste my normal summon.

But you're not going to draw "Dust Tornado" all the time and in some cases summoning Breaker will not be a waste because you will be running short of monsters (like I said depends on how your deck is structured) and "Dust Tornado" can't save you from that since it's not a monster.

I BACK IT WITH A BTH.

No but really, I've already stated I don't like Breaker. But you could BTH trap hole a summon, then next turn break or something. But ehh, there are also only 2 whirlwinds per deck now.

I didn't state we will have EXACTLY as fast of a format as the one we are in now, in March it'll be slowed down, but it'll still be very fast, meaning, regardless, it is still a fast format.

This will get a lot of play, especially in Gadgets. But, as for Tornado versus Breaker, not sure which way to go. I have actually used Tornado's second effect and it's been quite handy, plus to spring it is also a lot more effective. The only downside to Breaker is that if you choose to leave him at 1900 for the turn and he gets blown, you waste his Counter, however Breaker is a decent 1600 (1900 for a little while) and a destroyer. So, they both have up's and downs, heck forget the debate, run both =P

LS decks should side this guy and Secret Village. It pretty much sets up a good lock until you get game.

Waffles, besides Whirlwind and Oppression, what is worth breaking?

Serious question btw.

Any FD spell/trap you suspect to be unchainable

Which would be what, Mirror Force and D Prison? Or a bluff?

Only two decks I know of run D Prison. Is that really justification?

Then present an argument

You guys are acting like nothing is chain-able now. There's Whirlwind(by then they've searched 1), Mirror Force, some Prisons, and a possible Icarus hit...that's pretty much it. Compared to chain-ables like Bth, trap hole, book of moon, War Chariot, Torrential, etc. etc. If I'm going to go 1-for-1 removal, I'd rather use an EP Dust Tornado that will hit all of the above and more, while not wasting my normal summon.
