Gameplay was SO much better. Radar is for pussies... and how can you NOT use camo in a stealth action game set outdoors?

The story is equally as good as MGS2. They took a break from the current story to tell us about how Big Boss came about. The guy that started ALL the plum that goes down in the modern games. How is that bad?

I'll kind of agree with characters. Since obviously EVA, Ocelot, The Boss, and Naked Snake are the only good ones in it. The entirety of the Cobra Unit was retarded and The Fury just felt tacked on.

Everything else about the game is either equal to or better than MGS2.

I can always disprove ETC's opinions.

Because they are often wrong.

Fact.

Camo might have been fine if I didn't need to pause the game to change it every few steps because I wasn't sure if there was a hidden guard nearby because I didn't have radar and they grapeed up the camera angles in the intial release of the game.

Also, menu for healing = yay more menus
hunting = wgaf throwaway

Some gay guy with a tank wants to nuke stuff vs a GROUP of (still pretty gay) guys with tentacle armor and psychic arms w/25 bipedal tanks want to blow up everything. MGS2 hands down.

Black bullet witch chick, Vamp, Fat guy on roller skates, Liquidus, Emma, "All the bad and all the good" russian chick vs. Boss and Young Ocelot

poor mgs3

Why do you state dumb things, and like a orangegot?

There are still good games coming out for the Playstation 2 today, and it's been around for ten years. The Wii's been out for a few years now, and they have still yet to release more than a handful of good games that aren't already on other consoles with better graphics, features, and controls. Just a few examples- Guitar Hero II for the Playstation 2 has more DLC than any GH title on the Wii, and the Wii gets almost no DLC for the Guitar Hero games. This is because the Wii's online support is too awful to support it. Resident Evil 4 was one of the most fun and engaging titles anyone had ever played when it hit on the Gamecube, and the Playstation 2 improved upon it. Then, some YEARS after this, it is re-released on the Wii, with worse visuals than the Playstation 2 version and controls so terrible it rendered a perfect game nearly unplayable. All of this from a "next-gen" console.

The only reason the Wii has sold so well is old grapes who want to feel like they are a part of gaming buying a Wii, playing Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Music, and Wii Fit only, and letting the console rot in their entertainment center. The Wii's controller is a grapeing joke, is unresponsive half of the time, and, as it turns out, is not at all the best way to play any game that isn't a gimmicky exploit of the plumty controller in the first place (See: Red Steel).

Now that I think about it, the only bad thing I can say about the Playstation 2 is that had it never existed and pushed online console gaming ahead like the Dreamcast had failed to do, Connor's Wii wouldn't have an internet browser, and then we wouldn't have to put up with his ignorant posts all the god damned time.

So Connor, care to "disprove" any of these "opinions"?

Yeah, I can understand why you'd want to read that later, scrolling on the Wii's terrible browser is a pain in the grapeing ass.

My point was that the Playstation 2 not only has the better library, it's a better system overall.

PS: The Wii, on the inside, is just the Gamecube with a new controller. Enjoy.

I would expect that from possibly the biggest Nintendo fanboy on ETC @___@

Did you even play the Playstation 2 version, or

and Connor, who did you hear that from? Because every review says otherwise

Metacritic-
GC: 96% (82 reviews)[13]
PS2: 96% (38 reviews)[14]
PC: 76% (15 reviews)[15]
Wii: 91% (49 reviews)[16]

1Up-
GC & PC: A[17][18]
PS2: A+[19]
Wii: B+[20]

Game Informer-
GC & PS2: 10 out of 10[21]
Wii: 9.5 out of 10[22]

Gamespot-
GC: 9.6 out of 10[26]
PS2: 9.3 out of 10[27]
PC: 7.8 out of 10[28]
Wii: 9.1 out of 10[29]

Gametrailers-
GC: 9.6 out of 10[34]
Wii: 9.3 out of 10[35]

The only publication to claim that the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 was superior to its predecessors in any way was, quite predictably, Official Nintendo Magazine.

Rurouni, people did not have the same standards for games in 2007 than they did in 2005. Of course a port of an older game, especially one from a past generation, will score lower than its original. They always do.

A number only tells you so much too..

The very short 1Up review only talks about how the guy hates motion controls. lol

GameSpot: "This is the definitive version of a modern classic and a must-play, even if you've already experienced the unique thrill of Resident Evil 4 on another platform."

"IGN gave the game a 9.0 out of 10, stating it was the superior edition, but does not push the Wii like it did with GameCube and PS2."

The GameTrailers review says it is "the ultamite version of the game" @ 2:50.

GameInformer link is dead.

I like reading GameFaqs user reviews because they're written by gamers as opposed to "professional reviewers" and the majority of them claim it to be the definitive version but I'm sure you'll disregard the opinions of these people for whatever reason.

Go back to trolling or playing Guitar Hero. They're the only two things you're good at. ]:

I know! The guys that made it are making Professor Layton now, right? I wish they'd come out with a third entry. It's amazing how much content was crammed into that game, while not sacrificing atmosphere or gameplay elements. I loved the first one, too, but the second improved in every way.

You are talking about a third entry for Layton right?

I know there are at least two more Layton games being released. Japan has the third one already and I'm pretty sure another was announced, there is also a movie coming :D

Say whatever you want, the fact that a console is so bad it has to rely on porting two-year-old games from last generation and adding motion control (and not much else; not even updated graphics)to move units speaks volumes about the Wii.

Seriously, off the top of my head in the department of good exclusives, there's No More Heroes, a few decent Mario games, Smash Bros... I have a feeling I'm not missing a lot here. Compare that the 360's staggering list.

Don't get me wrong, the Playstation 3 is a pretty bad system too, but the Wii is outright pathetic. There is nothing that it can do (aside from churning out Mario games and getting baby boomers to buy bad games) that the other two can't do better.

Also, I feel like it needs to be said again.

Attention everyone who purchased a Wii: You were duped into purchasing a Gamecube with motion sensor controllers. Seriously. Open it up, have a look around; it's the same grapeing console. That's why it looks like garbage when compared to the rest of this generation, and hell, even games released near the end of the Playstation 2's lifespan.

If you think the Wii is a rehash of the GameCube what is the difference between each Guitar Hero installment you purchase?

*goes back to playing the definitive version of resident evil 4 on his wii*

So nice. =^_^=

First off, I haven't purchased a Guitar Hero game since Metallica came out. Secondly, did you seriously just compare the succession of a rhythm-based game whose engine really doesn't leave much room for innovation to a company that marketed their old console with new controllers as a "new console"? And no, it's not that I "think it's a re-hash". The technical specs leaked out; it is a Gamecube with new controllers. That makes it fact rather than opinion.
You suck at this Vaati, go back to listening to bad J-Pop and pretending to be a fourteen-year-old Asian girl on the internet. Those are the only things you are good at.

Edit: considering the "his wii" part, you're actually not very good at pretending to be a fourteen-year-old Asian girl anymore, either

The wii has the ability to take older games and give them a new feel. I like that. It isn't pathetic, but you can't compare it to xbox or ps3... It's just different.
