I'm saying that this is starting soon. Everyone keeps saying that this is at the bottom of the order, but I fail to see how, seeing as this idea was proposed in october and I did the first sign ups in december. I dont see any other game that has been on the list that long.
so yeah, we're doing this unless someone has been on the list longer and I just didnt know.
WILL USE A DIFFERENT FORMAT. RULES BELOW.
there will be 2 factions. Offense and Defense. Each faction will have 7 players. They will be equally distributed with the same powers for each side.
Key roles: Cop, Deliveryman, messenger
Cop is a standard cop role. You will be given a player's NFL Character Name and their faction (offense or defense)
Messenger will be fairly tricky. Each night, your messenger may send a one sentence message to a random (I will roll a die) member of your faction. I suggest it be something along the lines of: "I have been informed that "person" is a defensive player." These messages will be sent to me and through me only.
Deliveryman is a very tricky role. They will be given the results of their faction's cop inspections. They may not know who their faction's cop is, but they will still receive their results. They have the option to forward that result to anyone they wish, regardless of if they know the persons faction or not.
For example, players A-E are on offense and F-J are on defense. A and F are cops, and B and G are deliverymen. It is Night 3 (or w/e). A inspects H and F inspects J. B choses to pass along his cop's inspection to C (even though he doesnt know which faction C is on) and G choses to pass his cop's inspection to D. The end of the Night will go as follows:
A inspected H and is informed that H is a defensive player
F inspected J and is informed that J is a defensive player
B learns that H is a defensive player
B passes along to C that H is a defensive player
G learns that J is a defensive player
G passes along to D that J is a defensive player.
The web of who you can trust must be based on your deliveryman playing smart and helping to stay under the radar, while still working to tip off your side as to who to try and lynch, while trying to work with the messenger and cop.
*Deliverymen will NOT be told the identity of their faction's cop, and may not know the faction of the person that they deliver their intel to.
* no roles may be claimed except for cop under any circumstances.
* if a cop finds one of their own faction, the target of the inspection will be informed of their cop's identity.
* NO OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION. Period.
* idling a night is allowed if you wish.
* You may claim an NFL team that you play for. However, realize that this tactic may or may not get you anywhere. There are a couple of "unexpected" players here. (protip: thats not as much of a hint as some of you suspect atm lol)
* Factions must be claimed by everyone before night 1 can begin. We will start on night 0, so everyone has a night and a day phase in which to confirm and/or claim a faction. Please note that there may or may not be multiple people that are required to lie about their faction by their role pm. Also, I do not disallow lying on your own if you so wish.
* Each faction will submit a night kill, which will be given to me by a player dictated in their role pm. If this person dies, the killing power will be passed along to the next in a preordained chain of command.
* There will still be a day lynch.
HOW TO WIN
Be the last faction standing. Create your web of trustable people using your cop, messenger, and deliveryman, and go out and eliminate the other team.
