But, we'll see how it goes. I hope not to see too many deck lists on a page.
edit: I reread LHC's idea. I get it now lol

I think that is a process that the members will work on together so that the threads are as up to date as possible.

Anyone who has a original idea can't post their deck, or they have to conform to a certain decktype topic.

For example, look at my decks, my Lacuna deck could fit in a Stun decktype, however, where does my Watt deck or Inca deck fit? There pretty much their own decktype, so do we make a thread just for them? I mean, look at Yugioh Wiki, they have so many deck types there that they have to split it up into like 4 different pages. While I know not all of those will be posted in our section, but I just can't see a very huge discussion on some of the more obscure decktypes.

Exactly.

Because they would need to get it approved, and that sucks.
Plus sometimes you don't have the knowledge to get a decktype thread, and only want to post a deck, but the forum don't have a thread for it. Then what? The member will either 1. Post the deck in the Deck Discussion section without getting approval anyways or 2. They'll go away.
And who edited my post? Wtf.

Staff wants to increase member base and activity, and yet they hinder the member base by not allowing normal deck threads? Heh.

Furthermore, this idea has been openly discussed for a while. I don't think it's good to criticize it now but hold your peace for the whole period when it was being considered. I'm aware of the limitations of the current system and obviously we'll take action to fix things if need be.
All I ask is that we all give it a chance.

When a new member first joins the site? What do they typically wish to do? More often than not, (and I'm a prime example of this) they want to go right away and post their decks. Now eventually they'll get to the discussion aspects, but the first thing that 90% of new members do is go to the deck garage and post their decks.
Now compare us to site that still have the deck garage. Which will appeal to that new member more? Which site are they most likely to come back to? Are they more anxious to hear what someone said in response to their discussion post, or their deck?
The deck garage was the reason I first joined etc, and revisiting it hoping for new replies is what kept me coming back. So this is a real close subject for me, and I think that eliminating such a new member draw is a terrible idea.
