I tried this before, and I failed to write all thirty roles. I'm going to give this idea another shot, but with some altercations. The idea is simple, you are the patients, and I am the doctor. You're all insane, but some of you are dangerous, dangerous to the entire facility. The goal is like any other Mafia game, the town must find and lynch the Mafia before they are outnumbered. The difference here is distribution of powers. In order to receive a power, you must visit the doctor and ask for a pill. These pills are given out randomly, and can have either helpful or harmful effects. A certain pill can give you investigation abilities, while another can silence or even kill you.
I ask you all to role-play the role you are given. If your character is a rape victim then act like one. The key to the game is through questioning, each Town role has a background story concerning your character, these stories are made up by me and cannot be found anywhere on the internet. The Mafia on the other hand, they will receive blank roles, it is up to them to fabricate a story concerning an asylum patient. It's up to you guys to figure out whether a role was written by me, or the fabrication of Mafia scum. No two stories are alike, so if two people claim to be rape victims then one of them is clearly lying. Although, this does not mean that there is only one sociopath, only that the circumstances for everyone's character are quite different.
- Rules -
- Character and Power claiming is allowed.
- You are required to role-play as your character.
- You are not allowed to quote anything from your role PM directly, but you can reveal your story as if telling it through your character. Since everyone is role-playing it would make sense that you would tell the other players why you're in here, not me.
- Each Day-Phase will last a full twenty-four hours unless a majority vote is reached. Each Night-Phase will last twelve hours unless all PMs are sent in. If you are not taking a Pill, or using your power then PM me with the word Idle.
- The game will begin at Day 1. At this time, you are all powerless.
- There will be no Death Pill on Night 1, but afterward instant death is a possibility.
- Each player can ask for a Pill during the night-phase, but it is completely optional. If you are satisfied with your power, then there is no need to risk getting another one.
- No two players will receive the same pill, or have the same exact power.
- Only one pill power can be in effect on a player. Say, if a player gains an investigation power which can be used each Night-Phase, he/she can take another pill, but their investigation power will be replaced by the new pill's power.
- There is a total of 35 pills.
- Yes, Mafia can take pills.
