The guy quit when he was down to his last Poke.

It was a wifi battle and Rotom beat his lead so I switched his position. Rotom actually checks a lot of the popular 5th gen leads like Hippo, Tyranitar, Forretress.

Rotom doesn't check any of them, it counters them completely. Good thinking.

Pretty horrid player you were playing against, and his team wasn't good. Who legitimately loses to a Rotom? =/
