Rules & Regulations

- The Basics -

• The Day-Phase will last a full twenty-four hours unless a majority lynch is made where I end the day early. If by chance I see that healthy discussion is occurring and a majority has not been met towards the end of the time limit, I proceed to extend the day.
  
• The Night-Phase will last a full twelve hours unless I receive the expected PMs. If you do not wish to use your power for the night, then please PM me with the word "Idle."
  
• Mafia is a commitment, I expect all the players to post at least once every twenty-four hours.

- The Roles -

• If you have received a role then you are a member of the town. As a member of the Town, your objective is to find and lynch all the Mafia members.
  
• If you have not received a role and were instead invited to a PM conversation then you are a member of the Mafia. As a member of the Mafia, your objective is to murder and eventually outnumber the Town. Since you have received no role, it is up to you to come up with a background for the character you plan to role-play as.
  
• You are required to role-play as your assigned character. If you have any questions regarding the role-play aspects of your character then feel free to PM me. I understand that you're role-playing as the insane, but I do not expect you to lose your mind and maturity. The game should conduct as any other, but with the little twist of role-play interaction.
  
• You are allowed to discuss your roles, but you can not quote me directly. Tell your story as if coming from your mouth, not the PM I sent you.

- The Pills -

• There is a grand total of thirty pills. These pills can give you a powerful new ability, or a crippling side-effect. You can discuss the pills, and even quote their names, but you can not quote their effects directly.
  
• Pill can be acquired throughout the Day-Phase, and then used during the Night-Phase unless stated otherwise. You may acquire a new pill each Day-Phase unless stated otherwise. You can receive a pill by PMing me with the words "Receiving Pill." Receiving pills is optional unless stated otherwise, if you do not wish to receive a pill then PM me with the words "No Pill."
  
• No two pills will be in play at the same time. If you take a pill while already being under the effects of one, then the initial pill's powers will be replaced by the new one. At the beginning of each day, I will announce which pills are available and which pills are in play.

There will be no Death Pill on Day 1

We should give out our roles as quickly as possible. The mafia have to make their role up, so the longer it takes someone to post their role the better chance of them being mafia. If they manage to post it quickly, there might be some holes in it.

How do you suggest we give them out? We're not allowed to post any direct quotes and I don't think posting our names will help too much.

Savior says I can start sharing now, so getting into character:

"My name is Vivian Guado. I'm 28, white, female. I used to be a very successful and driven woman. I was elected school president, attended an Ivy league University, became a Chairwoman of Sony, and even found a man I thought I loved. However, he wanted something from me I wasn't willing to give. I'm a devout Catholic after all. He proposed, but I rejected him knowing it was only l means to and end for him. We broke up after that. One night on my way to my car, he attacked me. He...he did things to me...horrible things. The worst part? I thought I was saved when I saw 3 of my coworkers turn the corner, but they weren't there to help me. Instead, they joined in. The bastards. All men are bastards. They can't be trusted."

On a side note, whenever I'm role playing I'll be using quotes so you can tell. Also, my character is hot, lol. Oh, and Savior is one twisted trick coming up with this stuff.

@MM - I think it is rather pointless. But I will do so anyway. I don't trust you - let me make that clear. Just because you suggested it or posted first doesn't make you town. I may not like to have my eyes open, but I can sense something fishy a mile away ;x. AFAIK, the mod had the conversation with you a day or two before and you made up your role and planned to do this.

I thought I was just imagining things from all the drugs I did, but no matter what I painted, he kept coming back. Thus, I sewed together my eyes so I didn't have to see. No one knew for a long time. I'm a loner and I only get visited on my birthday when I let people see me. When my mama came to see me I asked her to help me from my nightmare. She took me to the hospital but those idiots opened up my eyes again. I tried to pull an Oedipus and stab out my eyes but they stopped me before I could. I am here now."

On a side note, Mikhail should write a book XD, this was one of those few tl;dr games with flavour text that I enjoyed.

So you think this is dumb, and yet you do it anyways to look town. You even go on to soft attack me. Neato. Hi scum. If Savior planned to give the mafia extra time to make up roles that would be rather unbiased of him.

I did it anyway because I'm sure other townies want to do it and I don't mind doing it. I think shoveling the drive way is pointless, but I do it anyway to help out the family. In this case, the town.

Anyhow, I don't get why you are dismissing the possibility. Its very probable, especially since he needed to talk to all mafia members. Unless you mean to tell me he is IMing the mafia as we speak? Also note that Mikhail used past tense :).

I say we should all do this, but not exactly for why MM suggested. I don't think that we should excuse people or pardon people just because they posted a story (unless I suppose they refuse to post one at all). Also, it's a good idea to get to know everyone's characters for flavor purposes and to compare to see if we think it's something Mikhail would post.
