Remember when you guys said we had ugly skins? Well, that's a thing of the past.

When it comes to Desert, don't think that you've been logged out by mistake. It's just that instead of having the user cp at the top of the board like most skins, this one has it on a stationary bar at the bottom. This means that you'll be able to access it at all times, regardless of how far down a topic you are. Now on that same bar, you'll see 3 coloured buttons on the far right, all of which will activate a different banner. The Freed one will appear as a default, but there's 2 others to chose from, and the board should remember your toggle settings as your browse & post. If you're having an issue with these buttons, there's 3 things you can do about it.

1) Clear your browser's cache.
2) Make sure that your browser supports Java applications.
3) Start using a capable browser, not ie.

Then if wondering what happened to the navigation bar (the one that links to the online store & member list), it's up on the top right side, and it'll open a drop down menu when your curser hits it.

Along with that, we've also added the appropriately named Save_ETC_314 skin,so be sure to check that one out as well. I hope you like the new skins and please let us know if you come across any bugs.

Yeah, this skin's pretty ugly to me, but that's because i don't like anything bright.

As far as tech, it'd be cool if the bar that stalked me around had a link to the main index though.

Don't get me wrong, I like and appreciate that effort is being made to add new skins(and hopefully fix the old ones)...but this skin is hideous.

The three colored buttons don't do anything.
There's some button under the 3 colored buttons that can be pressed, but can't be fully seen. It takes you to your profile page.

Overall, the layout is better. The navigation bar, the profile bar, and the buttons are all a lot prettier.... but the skin sucks.

Alas, poor Yorick.

I like light skins. It felt like it took a longer time to load though so I'm back to the blue/white one

We needed a decent light skin. I like this a lot.

It's there to give newcomees the idea that we're not all assholes.

Also, does anyone else besides Sage have a problem with the banner choosing buttons not working? I mean, they don't actually refresh the page or anything (in case that's what you were expecting), and the background itself is always the same colour. The only thing that changes are the images at the top.

Wow, the color is not that great, but not that bad either. Somewhere in the middle for me. I'll be using this skin. Toats McGoats Awesome! Only thing that would make that "Better look out 'cause I'm gonna Grape you stalker bar" better, is if it had a button that I could press to take me back to the Forums page. Good Job!

Well either that, or we have yet another reason to drop ie for a current & competent web browser. Make sure to have your browser's Javascript enabled, too. If Firefox & Chrome aren't your thing, and older ones like Netscape don't seem to get you in much of a better position, you can always check out Flock & Opera. I guess this all comes down to preference, but I really like the fact that Opera is not only as state of the art as it gets, but that also offers ways to customize the layout in countless ways, and without really having to know anything about computers. Then if you don't find what you're looking for there, Flock is pretty cool too once you get rid of all the Twitter stuff that's there by default.

@ Jinzo - I'll look into adding another directional button like we talked about earlier, but it'll probably just be easier to pin a YugiohETC bookmark link onto your browser. Opera calls it the "Bookmark Bar", and it's basically a row of set shortcuts that sit below your tabs. How I managed for years without using this feature is beyond me.

@ Del - Unless you've got some hella hard security settings, the lag should go away in a couple of clicks once your browser stores some cookies, and it'll be around the same speed as the rest. To be fair, the IPB default still probaly has the least amount of digital weight to it, but yeah. That's how it's been for me, and I haven't really noticed a difference once everything isn't being linked for the 1st time.

@ JiB - I know that it's not gonna appeal to everyone, but this is easily Final Prestige's best work in regards to cutting edge simplicity.
