The only thing good I remember from Mass Effect 1:

1. Liara/Ashley (whatever order you want)
2. Pistol wielding felt badass (especially if you were an infiltrator)
3. Scanning wasn't as ridic in 2

Everything else 2 pretty much trumped 1.
