I AM a Software Engineer, but hardware is something I have only a tad bit of knowledge of. I've ordered a new custom-built PC and was wanting to know if this is a pretty okay build for running most of the newer releases (Battlefield 3, Deus Ex: HR, etc.)

The build:

1 x Case (NZXT Gamma Gaming Case - Black))
1 x Case Lighting (None))
1 x [Censored Company] - Noise Reduction (None))
1 x [Censored Company] - Internal Expansion (None))
1 x Processor ([= Quad Core =] AMD Phenom™ II X4 925 Quad-Core CPU))
1 x Processor Cooling (Liquid CPU Cooling System [AMD] - [Free Upgrade] Standard 120mm Fan))
1 x Memory (4 GB [2 GB X2] DDR3-1333 Memory Module - ** FREE Upgrade to DDR3-1600 ** Corsair or Major Brand - original 20110830))
1 x Video Card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti - 1GB - Single Card))
1 x Video Card Brand (Major Brand Powered by AMD or NVIDIA))
1 x Motherboard ([CrossFire] Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 -- AMD 970 w/ 2x PCI-E 2.0 x16))
1 x Motherboard USB / SATA Interface (Motherboard default USB / SATA Interface))
1 x Power Supply (600 Watt -- Standard))
1 x Primary Hard Drive (1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive))
1 x Optical Drive (24X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive - Black))
1 x Flash Media Reader / Writer (12-In-1 Internal Flash Media Card Reader/Writer - Black))
1 x Sound Card (3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard))
1 x Network Card (Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100)))
1 x Operating System (Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium + Office Starter 2010 (Includes basic versions of Word and Excel) - 64-Bit))

I've seen some videos of people running some games on high settings with the video card I have here, but no clue if they're overclocked or not. That and they use a slightly different build than I do.
Any thoughts?

The gaming section would be better suited for this topic.

Could you post the clock speed for your processor? It would help us out a lot, otherwise it seems very solid although the RAM is a little underpowered compared to the rest of the build, but RAM is cheap as hell and installing more of it is piss easy. I would take the free upgrade to corsair, since I have some of that in my rig and it blasts through everything I've thrown at it so far.

As a final note and a matter of personal taste, I would swap out the AMD processor for one of the new Intel Sandybridge models, if you can, which I hear works brilliantly after they ironed out the teething problems with it. However, like I said, this is just my own personal taste and the AMD should still hold up really well regardless.

Order details doesn't display the clock speed for some reason. One second. I'll re-edit this post with the clock speed.

As far as I can tell through research (site doesn't even list this processor's speed), the clock speed should be around 2800-3100 MHz for each of the four cores. I did get the RAM upgrade to Corsair as well, it just shows up on the list as if it's still offering it for some reason. Didn't see an option for the SandyBridge models which saddened me, but I can upgrade in the future when need be.

Everything is definitely an upgrade compared to my current computer (Nvidia GT 8600M, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T9300 2500 MHz each core), so there's that.
