I have yet to find a local here in Jacksonville FL hence the reason why I keep my collection very small.

Well first problem is that I live in Finland. And here I don't even live in the biggest YGO area so we have a very small local, about 10-15 people max. Couple of ok players who would be pretty bad in some other country I guess :D then there is the random brigade with bad decks and annoying behavior. Our local's level has risen in the past year, but it's still not even near a good one unfortunately.

Hah well, the latest "brigade" of random people at my locals have been really cool, so I'm hoping they decide to stick around.

Do you enjoy your locals or does it suck? Explain! If you don't go to locals what was it like when you went? If you have never been to locals just say so. lolol

My locals is really small. We've got an interesting pool though.

We've got ~8 good players, only about 4 of whom will be there at any given time. If some of us make it, the others seem not to.
A handful of good players with bad decks.
Like 10 bad players with bad decks.
And a couple of mediocre guys who are getting better, who usually have pretty good decks.

When I played in my locals. It was kind of meh outside of my circle of friends. The most fun we had was grapeing with this one dude who used his welfare checks to buy cards.

Its degraded since the last time I posted here, most of the people that used to show up now go to Evolution Games or Xtreme Games.

What use to be a constant 12 - 20 is now an average 10-12 max.

I only do Locals on Sunday ATM. Once I get my own car to do Locals on Saturday, I will add one of the above to my Saturdays as a permanent locals.

The only big name I know at my locals is Robbie Stargel. IMHO Ginger is better than Robbie, he's just not allowed to go to YCS ect.


It's basically top tier players running top tier decks.

I like my new locals whenever i can go to it, theres about 3 good players there, the rest are generally scrubby. Its about a 40 min drive to get there though >_> its great for getting trades but thats generally it.

Also at my old locals, which I get to go to about once a month has a bunch of cool new navy guys that are getting better and better. makes me mad that i had to move >_>

There are countless locals in DFW, but I go to a Lone Star Comics. About three of them quialify for nats every year, most are decent semi-budget players like me, and there are a few of those sucky E-Hero kids. I usually get in top third, but not top 8.
