What do we think of the current forbidden/limited list, what do we think about the upcoming one, and what do we think about when we duel ourselves at night?

In other words, banlist discussion goes here.

sangan will be banned, hyperion to 1-2, grapha to 1 (is this deck doing well in the ocg? the grape if i know), bls hopefully gone, and it would be ideal to see rabbit hit but not sure.

the next banlist is pretty important to balance all of these huge power cards we have. if konami leaves rabbit/grapha/hyperion/plants/wind-ups all alone next format wont be very good.
etc's trading section sucks but i trade on this other forum that doesn't suck and you can use money so go there and trade with me

Word has it DMoC has a good chance of coming off the list. I would not be surprised with the precedent of BLS. I forget why, I think it might have been due to a reprint in the OCG. If that is the case, Reborn is probably banned. I don't think they'll hit Rabbit/Inzektors at all, they're relatively new products and haven't dominated anything as of yet (Inzektors might but Konami isn't going to crush them immediately). Plants are probably on the chopping block, they've been around for a long time and aren't making much profit, but we'll see when we find out the reprints in the special editions/tins.

Can't find the source. I'm pretty sure the reason was its impending release in the OCG as a reprint but I can't find it on Wikia, don't know if it's anything more than a rumor.

That being said, if they get rid of Reborn/Dark Hole, it wouldn't be terrible to have old DMoC back. It's not as easy to drop as it used to be. Not as bad as BLS.

No, I'm just going to be disappointed as always. I mean, do they even realize that card's still on the banlist? What possible combo or use does it still have 7 years later that has it banned and yet Black Luster Soldier can come off the list for 6 months? I honestly want to know that man's reasoning for that.

I hear what your saying. It's way past it's luster as I see it. Must be just because it's a reusable book if moon? That's the only thing I can think of.
But for awesomeness, bring back Cyber Jar too, yay.!

No, Cyber Jar is just stupid advantage. Even with all the effects out there, free summons and added cards is too sacky.

Something I would like to see come back is Oppression.

There is far too many special summons in this game that just the Solemns and TKR can't handle.

His reasoning is along the lines of "It's an infinite Book of Moon, a card that's limited."

I think their reasoning for that is "If royal oppression is back, then XYZ won't seem as awesome and people won't buy our cards as much"

A few of my friends and I believe they banned Oppression to boost XYZ sales and it is looking like it is the truth.

There probably isn't a lot of reasoning between their decisions on the banlist that have to do with actual gameplay. It is probably 75% business orientated and 25% "hey lets stop this dumb ass deck from winning every ycs". That's why discussing the banlist is pointless because everyone's opinion isn't correct and Konami doesn't care.

Okay, so why was it banned while Book was at 3? It's a 4th Book of Moon?

I sort of get that argument because it screws over effects that need to be faceup to activate (Raioh, Tengu), but if that's the only argument, I'm sort of disappointed.
