Man, I want to say +1 smoke signal makes Samurais more viable. It does, yes, but it feels like every other deck has 3+ boss monsters that run over it, among other advantages. It's more viable, but relatively, things haven't changed.

As for the rest of the banlist: BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA See you all on the other side for the next six months.

I just found out about the list yesterday.

But man this thread was pretty funny. Come on people expecting separate TCG/OCG lists? Most of us are 20 by now; we shouldn't be so gullible naive.

I didn't expect Wind-Ups/Inzecters to get hit, they are way too new.
I heard Rabbit was doing pretty well in the OCG until the newest set. They still might be. Not sure why they didn't get it.

This list is only interesting because
1. It seems like the fewest changes ever made
2. Japan pre-hit a TCG exclusive.

I think I remember the TCG pre-hitting some OCG cards, but those were obvious/match-listing. This premptive strike on Tengu is pretty unique froma banlist standpoint.

Okay we're near the halfway point for the format. Lets get some input so far. I personally believe this format to be really bad. It just seems like whoever gets the dice roll will end up winning. Let's create a list to get started:

Even if it wasnt too early. This is a DN level bad ban list and I've seen 3-4 of them already this week on their forums.

Well the list won't change until September and we open the List Discussion Section up a month before; it's still May. I guess you can wait to see what Nomad feels about it and then go from there.

Wind-Up Hunter - The loop is retarded, nuff said
Gateway - Should never have been made with out a limit

Limited

Glow-Up - Shouldn't be banned
Goyo - Bring Synchros back a bit
Inzektor Hornet/Dragonfly - Generates ridiculous +, one of them needs a hit
Dragged Down - Free hand disruption is too powerful in YGO, every card like it is banned for a reason. The only deck that plays it takes advantage of it's "downside"
Grapha - Constant +1s is bad, and his ATK is too high for a monster that reborns itself. Too much power in one card.
Smoke Signal - ROTA is going to 2


Semi-Limited

Book of Moon - This is one of the best defense cards atm, and this game is too offense-oriented
Rescue Rabbit - Absurd card
REDMD- Absurd card with all the new Dragon support. Amanda Lapalme must be loving this format.
Bestiari - Should have happened a long time ago, GBs are dead now
ROTA - Boost rogue
Solemn - High skill card, half your LP is a pretty big cost

Unlimited

Bottomless - Helps fight beaters, it's better with the prio change
