I was testing today with Sabers using Invoker. I went 4-1 in unsided matches against Plants, but I used Invoker surprisingly few times.

Tour Guide Sabers actually does p good against plants. Zenmaines is an invaluable tool.

But yeah.

I dont mean for this to sound like an "I told you so" but considering how your testing worked out and what some of us are worried about with Invoker, it isnt pulling its weight in the extra or turning out to be all the great in the first place.

It's not that, like it's 100% worth playing. It's additional options and there's no reason to not play it. I was just expecting to use it more and it only came up like 2-3 times in the five matches, which really is more than enough since every time it did it was good.

A free Exiled Force isn't bad, and it might be the first Rank 3 warrior xyz for the deck regardless, something to go into if you drew 2 Bushi. Not going crazy over it or anything though.

I feel like there's a cool play with Iron Chain Repairman and this guy but everything's coming up dry.

I guess for sayings sake, Wildheart isn't terrible in DEF 'cause isn't his DEF higher than his ATK?

ATK/ 1500 DEF/1600

Still nothing to write home about.

A free E-Hero from the deck can have its merits, drop Super-Poly perhaps, use it for Miracle Fusion.

So, this, but I doubt that Wildheart would be the choice.

i'm pretty sure some of the people who think like pat does are going to take sabers to the higher tables at atl. the deck has never been bad, and this is all the more reason to run tour guide in it. BUT it also makes the opponent use their stop-special-summoning cards to stop the possible tgu-faultroll plays, only to get beat down by following e-call, boggart, or hyunlei plays the next turn, or vise versa.

something that makes x-sabers good is that when they are losing, it's hard to really beat them due to pashuul, darksoul, and emmersblade, and this xyz gives them a good, competitive edge to come back from a seemingly hopeless situation only to turn things around with more 1-card answers. the format is just right for a somewhat reckless style of play to come into the picture, and this card lets sabers bring that.

Use Wildheart to setup for a Wildedge and sweep the opponent's field?

Except the hand rape loop doesn't happen if your opponent's holding Veiler/Maxx "C" or they go first.

Soldier turns a hand of Shark and Tour Guide into Invoker and a Rank 5, definitely worth considering for the deck when going second.

Except there is almost no excuse for the combo not to go off with everything the deck has been given lately or to use Veiler/Maxx "C" as an excuse
