With Tour Guides, Rescue Rabbits and the overall abundance of Special Summoning running afowl as usual, especially with Xyzs, many folks are still lamenting and questioning the loss of Royal Oppression. Enter Vanity's Emptiness. While it certainly won't replace Royal Oppression, it certainly does just as decent of a job slowing the opponent and stopping various threats from encroaching. Let's face it as well: as good as Royal Oppression was, it was equally as much of a double edged sword as Emptiness is, which stops Damage Step threats like Gorz as well. I'm not suggesting Royal Oppression be replaced, but while it has its time on the banlist, Emptiness can make for a solid substitute to curb many meta threats.
Let them eat their damn cake.

I'm hearing mixed reviews on the card. Personally haven't tried it out yet, but will at some point.

I don't always say "ETC", but when I do, I'm usually referring to this forum. 'Sup?

This card is incredible and you'll be seeing it a lot in YCS decks.

I still want my Oppression back though >=[

So instead of compulsary you'd run this? I have trouble thinking up the trap core. I'm with negative one on this.

It was a joke. This card is amazing, you don't have to think of a trap core to use this in, just chain it to something that special summons like a Rabbit, chain it to Leviair's effect. The card doesn't need an engine to be run, it shines in a few situations like when you've got Laggia/Dolkka out, or when you have WDN out, but on its own it's still awesome.
