LIGHT
Dragon/Xyz/Effect
Rank 8
ATK/DEF 4500/3000
3 Level 8 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as Xyz Material: Negate the effect(s) of all other face-up cards on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; detach all Xyz Materials from monsters your opponent controls. This turn, this card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material detached, and during this turn's Battle Phase, this card can attack equal to the number of Xyz Materials detached by this effect.

Now this card seems ridiculous to summon. I understand that, however, the effect is nothing to laugh about. This card can totally shut down everything that your opponent could potentially do with the exception of hand and graveyard effects. I'm already at work in making a deck based off this card. Keep in mind the TCG will have to wait a while for this card (May). Discuss.

I feel like the negation effect is a mistranslation/will be worded better in the TCG, that's just OP right there.

The second effect is kinda cool too, but if you had 3 LV8s out, you probably would have been able to attack for game too there.

Looks like Hopeless/Disaster Dragon have another 1 shot toy to look forward to to using in the extra deck.

I've already seen some dragon decks leaning towards decking Galaxy Eyes and now they have a good reason to keep at least one copy in the main.

Also the negation effect isnt OP in the least. It hits your side of the field as well as the opponent's. You are almost better off not trying to get the negation effect unless you are looking to lock down a win.

I can't think of many other situations in which you'd drop this guy.

I said it was just another one shot toy for a reason. I cant think of many situations at all that would involve dropping into Gustaph Max. I'd still see a Dragon player having one available for that just in case.

More times than not most people will go without the negation effect.

Well yeah. Nothing like robbing every Exceed on the field of their effects then getting to attack over and over again with a 5000+ tank

I would rather use his "Rampage" Effect then negating my plum just in case they have D-Prison or Mirror Force down.

A mutliple attacking 5000 atk monster is nothing to sneeze at either. Just one Exceed on the field can turn into game if Neo GEPD is free to do what it likes.

I think a dedicated deck would be required, but I'd love to see it work!

This, too hard to summon and can be shut down by too many cards, mainly the 2 solemns and their Dino cousin.

Run GEPD's in a Dragon deck. They already have enough level 8's floating around as it is and with GEPD being pretty retarded as it is, it isnt completely implausible to summon Neo without having to outright dedicate to it.

They have to flip (Read: Be face up) to get this guy off the field though. It really depends on how Konami meant that, it's the first time I think a card has had a blanket statement negating face up cards. If it won't negate flipped normal traps/spells, then yeah that effect isn't that bad, but if it considers cards that are being flipped face up as face up, then this is beyond broken.

D Prison, chain Emergency Provisions bro.

Makes me want to do Infernal Reckless Summon on like Machina Cannon for the lols. But that is clearly just a fun play and not serious enough.

1) Why run emergency provisions?
2) Sounds like the effect negates both of those cards...I don't get it?

Provisions sends the spells/traps off the field as a cost for its effect, which would mean that Dimensional Prison would be in the Graveyard when its effect would resolve, and thus not be negated by this guy (If his effect works this way), kind of like how Drain won't negate Lonefire/Exiled Force/something you tributed with an E-Con when activating effect.
