In my last few decks I mained three. I think it's a card that has increased in play. But I would not know if it were out of personal choice? So what are your thoughts on this? Anyone using dust tornados? Discuss the pros in cons of running three and in what deck types. I for one run rogue with chaos with anti-meta techs.

Nope. 2 MST and 1 Heavy is pretty much staple with the 3rd being in the side in case of playing against a backrow heavy deck.

I dont see a reason to run 3 MST in a deck even if you are running something like Frog Monarch.

It isn't as much as a personal choice as it is a practical one.

Like Tsuna said, if someone is using a deck type that is dependent on the back row a third one would help, but against something like Monarchs, clearing their backrow is helping more than hurting in the long run.

A few decks seem to be running three for example the main being agents, and lightsworn.

Lightsworn suck and they main 3 to cover for the lack of consistency that comes from the mills.

Agents have to use that many to cover for how backrow is their worst enemy.

A) LS rarely uses more than 1 MST because JD renders it subpar and getting my engine going is more relevant than w/e my opponent has set.
B) Agent uses the standard 2 MST 1 Heavy I've never seen a coherent Agent player use 3 MST.

And lastly, MST is only an exceptional card against Darkworld. There really isn't anything else you would side the MSTs for (when deciding to side the 3rd mst).

There aren't really any pros of using 3 MST generally speaking. . . . . just look at the Top 32 of Kansas/Brighton honestly. There is no point in explaining it when it has already been explained by events.
etc's trading section sucks but i trade on this other forum that doesn't suck and you can use money so go there and trade with me

You do know that GKs and backrow heavy decks like TGs exist and still pop up at Regionals/YCS events, right?

Gravekeepers and TGs are actually picking up quite a bit of popularity.

I think its a bit of a misconception that Gravekeeper's somehow have to desperately rely upon Necrovalley to work. Really at least 75% of the GK cards can function independently and effectively without Necrovalley. Necrovalley just gives the deck its extra oomph and control element. GK's decrease in play at least until recently according to Charlie, probably isn't due to MST going to 3, but more of the fact that the deck's slower tempo couldn't quite keep up with the faster Xyz meta, much like how Frognarchs faltered a bit.
Let them eat their damn cake.

GK functions without Necrovalley... but not without a sufficient backrow, MST will put in work against them. I haven't heard anything about GK coming back either, I can see T.G. being popular again, but still it's not the matchup you prepare for in big tournaments, it's a siding thing. 2 MST 1 Heavy's the typical combination.

I can see 3 MST being more popular now though, Fiendish Chain is gaining popularity over Dimensional Prison, the Vanity's Emptiness tech is being run more often. MST gets around these quite nicely.

I find that Dinos tend to set a fairly high amount of cards, such as Prison, Bottomless, and sometimes Lance/Book. Sure, you probably don't need 3 MST against it, but it is a deck with a decent backrow.

Edit: Going by Ira's Sample decklists the D. Fissure build runs 9 traps that you'll want to MST, 3 Fissures to hit, and 3 Lances that you can force off/hit in the end phase. The very reason the deck runs all that backrow is to save the Solemn/Wrath-asaurus negation for later, so wrecking their protection isn't a bad thing.
