Fiendish Chain prevents a monster from attacking, it doesn't negate an attack in progress, or alter the state of said monster such as a card like Book of Moon would. So, I'd think that the activation requirements of Dimensional Prison would have still been met, thus removing the monster.
But I could be wrong, in which case see the posts below as they arrive, lol. I'd be interested in seeing the "why" if I'm wrong.

I don't always say "ETC", but when I do, I'm usually referring to this forum. 'Sup?

There's also a few tcg rulings for Red Dragon Archfiend & Ancient Forest that support this way of thinking (negating an attack vs making an attack unable to complete itself).

I believe Shadow Spell (old card) has a similar ruling that if an attack has already been declared, it must continue.

Threatening Roar & Morphtronic Bind come to mind for the 1st group, while Gravity Bind & Shadow Spell come to mind for the 2nd group that're a little easier to use. These cards won't stop an attack if the damage step has been entered (which is likely what you were reading about in regards to Shadow Spell), but if you're still in the battle step, then they're like Fiendish Chain because they can stop attacks from proceeding too.
For example, if you declare an attack, it's too late for me to stop it with Threatening Roar because the declaration was already announced, but I'm good to go with Shadow Spell, Gravity Bind or Fiendish Chain. I'm sorry if this isn't doesn't make much sense, but yeah.

I was told I was wrong and their are no rulings on Fiendish Chain that dispute the opposing opinion. Confused.

Threatening Roar is like that too, and it specifies caring about the declariation while none of the others (Gravity Bind, Shadow Spell, Safe Zone, etc) do.
