Black Horn of Heaven
Group: Trap Card
Type: Trap
Icon:Counter
Negate the Special Summon of 1 of your opponent's monsters, and destroy it.

So it doesnt stop inherent special summons? This card has been my new tech. Oddly enough dimensional prison hasn't been cutting it so I have tried this out. It cuts priority out of the equation as opposed to Vanity's emptiness.

It actually only works against Special Summon effects and whatnot like CyDra, Synchros, and Xyz. It cannot counter Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted.

As for how good the card itself is, You're better off with Thunder King. There are much better traps you could be running.

I already run thunder. You probably mean vanity's emptiness. Problem is it doesnt stop priority but maybe I will try it out. Also note it hasnt been working out. Chaos is underpowered and I run 3 horns and I might side 3 vanity or main 3 vanity. Help me decide people. Is priority still an option with vanity's emptiness.

I know what I meant. Black Horn is pretty bad.

Why do you always post these crappy cards? The other two you just put up are pretty bad too. Especially Psychic Shockwave.

In my tests it seems I need the negation. Chaos lost a lot of power to the new deck types. I can understand your view for psychic shockwave, but not for forbidden chalice.

So use a different deck, man. That's what this game is about. You need to evolve with the cards, not get attached to one deck and play it fanatically.

I actually REALLY like Black Horn of Heaven. Playing against Agents? You can easily side these in to stop hyperion, gachi, etc.

It's just a free warning so you can save your warnings for card effects that Special Summon.

I respect your opinion. It's just that I wouldn't be playing this game unless I got some fun out of it. I'd give up entirely but since this game is free and I sit home all day I figured I'd get some bragging points if I somehow beat people with original decks. I already lost contact with someone because they made the same claim as you. But I am not fighting this. They wanted me to netdeck when I have never done so. I dont want to lose respect over a card game. My second hobby is writing and I struggle to find ideas when I write. Simply put the axiom if it makes you happy do it, don't care what the other people think. The only other deck I have a remote liking that is playable is dark world and e-heroes since I was introduced to that recently and thought it was pretty cool how the deck has complex side options. I'll figure out a new niche once I start playing more people. I am challenged a lot. Btw don't put a negative spin on this. I have enough on my plate as is of people complaining about bad threads, and odd deck choices. It would be smart. Let the next person give me a tough time. It's bound to come. Tsunayohsi landing in 5 seconds, 1.2.3.4.5.

Val will give his balanced opinion though. He likes to try out old decks like me.

I like to have fun with old decks too, but I also don't have some pipe dream about them somehow becoming competitive again.

And I didn't ask you to netdeck anything, just to move to something more current. haha.

Old decks don't equal less brilliant tech choice. I can play Archfiend/Cloudian/Infernity all day, but my choice would be Fiendish/Warning over Warning/BlackHorn. BlackHorn is a good tech card, before DW. Now that DW is in play, your opponent can special summon all day, and you just keep on wasting your BlackHorn. Inzector can pop that things easily. Simply put, BlackHorn has lost a lot of its playability this format. I can see people playing that card some formats ago. But, not now...

More of a side into card imo, its great against certain match ups, terrible against others.

I do suppose it is good against Rabbit Dinos. More ways to prevent Laggia/Dolkka is always a good thing.

It was almost main worthy pre-Order of Chaos. Post Order, you would side it at the most. It would depend on your deck, and what you need to focus on with the side, but it's an option.

The problem with all of these prevention cards is drawing them after your opponent summoned that big monster or whatever.

Vanity's Emptiness isn't a relevant card, for now at least. No deck has the ability to effectively play it without risking it being awful, so I'd hold back on that card for now.
etc's trading section sucks but i trade on this other forum that doesn't suck and you can use money so go there and trade with me

I side this against Rabbit, Agents, and Plants. It's no Oppression, but it's pretty helpful.
