So in light of recent requests, we've decided to bring back the deck garage as a subforum of our Deck Discussion forum. However, we'd still encourage people to take part in existing topics before simply starting their own & going away, especially in terms of concepts that're related enough for joint efforts to pay off the most.

Additionally, our mechanics & rulings section has been moved to become a subform of our gameplay section, so don't think that it's gone away or something.

Power to the players. :)

When given a month and no actual build up to the deck discussions? Of course. Anybody that expected the change to result in immediate change is out of their mind, and completely unreasonable.

The problem isn't with the change or non-change. The problem is that the staff never does anything with conviction. They "sort of" try new things, they don't really give the change the support it needs, and it gets abandoned after a 1 month "trial". Proper shifts in the board take time.

This is pathetic.

Etc can't stick to anything. And they try to appease the few members they have left. The staff needs to grow a pair, make a plan, and stick to it. I understand it is good to look back and see if things areworking out, but this is just another example of Etc caving in.

I like the deck garage. But I was willing to try out the idea. Clearly the staff just handle complaints very well. So again, complain enough, and you will get what you want.

the deck threads are grapeing trash in general. sorry pat i love you they grapeing suck. ive been saying this forever and one of the few things i disagree with.

Seriously though, there's always going to be conflicting opinions because not only are we more than one person, but as usual, the members don't know what they want, and the staff can't possibly please everyone, which goes back to my 1st point. Along with that, and while I'd still argue that deck garages are an outdated concept that support ineffective discussion & learning, they're also a qualifiier of sorts when it comes to forums like this one, so that's why we brought it back when we did. That's really all it was, so above all else, there's no need to take any of this personally, especially when it comes to attacking the people who happen to disagree with an opinion. That's just being childish.

Oh really? Cause the topic in the staff lounge that was posted Jan 25th about this exact topic was almost entirely in favor of this.

The point of the topic was to gather people's thoughts on re-opening it, so you wouldn't be "boisterous and disagreeable"

Obviously I didn't have your opinion on this until I came in this topic and saw you throwing the rest of the staff under the bus to people bitching about us making a change

Bitching and saying "this wasn't my will" aren't the same thing, and I didn't throw anyone under the bus. I didn't say who was for it, I simply said I wasn't.

I have not wronged you nor anyone else, nor am I being aggressive, so you need to calm down.

Additionally, I saw no need to reiterate my opinion, seeing as I was a major proponent of the deck section going away and never renounced that opinion. If someone doesn't state that they've changed their mind, it's safest to assume they haven't.

I'm calm. However, the very point of the Staff Lounge is for staff to voice their opinions. Obviously no one remembered you were against it because of how quickly it was re-implemented

I just didn't see the point of you having to let the rest of the forum that you were against a decision made by "the staff". It doesn't make us look like a cohesive unit and is slightly disrespectful.

It's not disrespectful at all, and if you feel that way I hate it for you.

We're individuals. We can work together, but at the end of the day, we all have our own opinions. If someone thinks less of the "staff" because we're all different people, then that's just ridiculous and we're better off without them.

And before you say that we need to "get along to invite new people in etc etc make them think the staff is altogether", DGz explodes with activity and their staff bickers with one another like 14 year olds on their period.
