So, are there any actual standard players here on ETC? I see this forum is pretty dead, but i think it'd be cool to start making it active and get some discussions going on.

I was contemplating getting back into it.

You should. Standard is great right now. Quite a few viable decks, a lot of which DONT cost an arm and a leg to get together and play. The game is just so much fun. Now's a pretty good time to start getting back into it. Come October, the whole Scars block rotates out of standard, so if you can pick up stuff from Innistrad Block (the 2nd of 3 sets just came out 4 days ago) you can be pretty well caught up with everything you need at that time.

Oh cool. I haven't played in standard for about a year.

Ran a Black Proliferate deck.

I'm currently running a blue/black control deck. Working towards building township tokens, almost done with that though. My version is mono-white, comes at you hard and fast with lots of token generating abilities, and has enchantments that buff all my creatures, as well as Hero of Bladeholds and an Elesh Norn to help finish it off.

I'm also looking to build a Black/Green birthing pod deck. The new mechanic, undying, is just waiting to be abused. You should look into it.

As long as I can use it in Black/Blue I'm sure I'll love it.

Standard is actually better then it was in the last couple months. Delver was redic, but has adapated more to combat the dominant Kessig.

I play standard as well, Commander too.

As far as U/B goes the format has slowed down. It;s not the best, but it is quite viable.

Commander/EDH is probably the best Casual format in my opinion. Other then some really old, really broken cards. Everything is legal, and you can do some pretty nutty combos and stuff.

I kinda got dragged into playing Standard.
However, I'm just running a cheap Solar Flare deck with minimal dual lands and no Lilianas.

Think I'm gonna try to find a deck that won't die in October though. Thinking about stocking up on Drogskol Reavers. Maybe Zombies.

Inistrad is the reason why i'm back into MTG standard! I'm building together some W/Bl token deck with Sorin. also considering delver, but i dunno. BTW, how are wolves fairing?
