Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can select 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls with the same Attribute as this card, and destroy it. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

If you can't run shallow imprisoning-mirror this is decent but not a replacement card.

Once per turn, when a monster with the same Attribute as this card is Normal Summoned to your side of the field, you can select 1 card your opponent controls, and destroy it.

It worked against me in a war match. I side it for going versus dark decks.

Waitwut? This card doesn't care about whatever monster summoned on your opponent's side of field, this card cares about the monster you summon to YOUR side of field.

Sigh. Someone doesn't read much of anything, clearly.

edit:

I made a new card discussion. This card happens to be in Donnan's pic, which we can probably guess he likes a lot.

its not a bad card at all.

just limited in its practicality. Because while everything is dark nowadays, having to rely on your opponent having a dark monster for it to have any use at all is the definition of inconsistent.

Decks that main a lot of Dark monsters this format:

1. Inzektor, mostly Dragonfly and Centipede, but after having sex with your field, they'd have transformed into Zenmaines.
2. Dark World, deck that pretty much says, come and destroy my Grapha all day, and I'll summon my Grapha all day while still getting +1 from field card and another +1 from running over your Duradark.
3. Blackwing, deck that, oops sorry, wrong format.

So, no. I don't think the card is a decent side material, it's far from decent. If you're worried about Dark monsters, get that Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror.

Probably not. Machines are passive.
